- Sailor Chaos is red not black and apparently has a monster army. I guess this makes more sense, I always presumed she was 1 by 1 killing everyone by herself.

- Sailor Cosmos DID defeat Sailor Chaos and then went back in time. Every manga translation implies she couldn't defeat Sailor Chaos, hence she goes back in time. This is a major change to the lore. Although it is unclear if she was depressed after winning, regarding it as a pyric victory or if Chaos' army kept fighting.
Sailor Cosmos never defeated Sailor Chaos. That's why she went back in time.

Sailor Chaos is red and black.

Queen Serenity was depressed when she birthed Usagi in the GC. That is not the case in the manga and sends my imagination running wild.
It has nothing to do with it.
QS in the cauldron = Rebirth of the princess after her death. The queen went there to ask for her daughter to be reborn.

Did you really understand what you were looking at? Because frankly, there are quite a few errors of interpretation in what you say.

But that's not how the Cauldron system works. If anyone dies, their starseeds/Sailor Crystals go to the Cauldron naturally, why the princess seed/crystal needed Queen Serenity's help???? That theory is nonsense, sorry.
The picture we see in the manga of the Queen with Serenity's baby was not a random choice of Takeuchi and fits perfectly with the selfish personality of the queen. She wanted a child, went to the Cauldron and chose the most powerful light of it and kept living her perfect Utopia she built.

But Hotaru is still a child. :?
At this point it's pointless to guess Hotaru's age lol.

In the manga, when Sailor Moon faces the "evil Sailor Senshi" in Saggitarius Zero Star, Saturn looks taller, even older, like in the 3rd act.

So I guess we have just to suppose Hotaru is as old as she wants to be? LOL

Sailor Cosmos never defeated Sailor Chaos. That's why she went back in time.
Yep, that's what every manga translation (official or not) says as far as I know, and what I get from Cosmos film.

yes I realised after some digging that
a) There were translation errors in the dub
b) For some reason Netflix switched my settings to Japanese audio with the English closed captions subtitles. I thought I was watching the official English subs for the Japanese version but I was actually watching the official English dub closed captions. So my conclusions are incorrect for the Japanese version but technically correct for the dub version, which apparently altered a few things.

Also, I should have said 'solid black'. In the manga she is just a big shadow person.

As for QS in the Cauldron there is nothing in the movie or manga that indicates that that scene = QS rebirthing Usagi/Princess Serenity. I suppose it could have been that, and the visual of the movie more specifically supports that. However in the Manga we do not exactly know QS's mood at the time. I know I and many other people interpreted it as QS creating Princess Serenity right then and there. In the manga we see a baby version of Usagi/Serenity which IIRC was not in the film.

If the idea was that QS was rebirthing her daughter in the Cauldron that raises more questions because how then did Ikuko get pregnant. Again, in the manga we actually see the crystal as a baby iirc

This is something I've always been confused about.

The rules for the cauldron and reincarnation in the manga seem very unclear to me.

I presumed for the longest time that it functions vaguely like reincarnation in many real life religions, its is just that your soul= a star seed and the Cauldron is the specific mechanism of rebirth.
Revisiting the manga and the movie it is now a lot more unclear to me. There is talk about how Sailor Crystal holders can be reborn, but then people who didn't have crystals got reincarnated.

Also, I too figured the scene in the manga = this is how Princess Serenity came into existence.

Actually, my specific headcanon is that what QS did was not dissimilar to what Chaos did when she created Metalia, Pharaoh 90, etc. Usagi is essentially an 'extension' of Queen Serenity herself.

This might help explain why QS never got reborn later. If Usagi is an extension of herself, perhaps the only way for her to be reborn after she died was for QS to give up her own life in exchange.

I dunno, the rules in Sailor Moon are inconsistent and especially so in the Stars arc

The Netflix subtitles and dub refer to the evil Senshi Galaxia created as:
a) golems
b) puppets
c) And this is never stated vocally, but it is in the subtitles, 'Pesudo Sailors'. Which I quite like

Here, it is not the birth of Princess Serenity but her death.

The Cauldron chose Princess Serenity to be its light side and later chose Queen Serenity to be the surrogate mother.
NQ = Mary (mother of Jesus Christ).

That's why there is no father.

Like in Star Wars with Anakin. He is the child of the Force, and his mother is a virgin and has never had a relationship with a man. Here, for Princess Serenity it is the same. The immaculate conception.

I don't need screencaps because I know the dialogues, and I reaffirm what I said yesterday. Answer my question: Why did the princess seed/crystal need Queen Serenity's help to get to the Cauldron to be reincarnated? And please, stick to the Universe/Cauldron rules Takeuchi set in the manga, don't use your imagination/headcanon.

Ironically, the Italian Netflix translation describes it as a small, newborn star.

However, this theory doesn’t hold up when you consider the Japanese version. Given the context and the use of the word “ぬけがら” (nukegara), it’s likely that the shell represents something that once had life or energy but is now empty. This aligns with how “nukegara” is typically used to describe something that has lost its essence, like the shell of an insect after it molts, the shell of a crustacean, a lifeless form or metaphorically the residue of something that once had life or lost their spirit / essence.

Then, Guardian Cosmos asks if she wants to start a new history, using the word “それで” (sore de), which translates to “so” or “therefore,” indicating a logical connection or conclusion based on the previous statements. This refers to her previous life’s death.

If Queen Serenity went to the Cauldron directly to have her daughter reincarnated, then why did she take only her daughter's?

Couldn't she take those of the Inners as well who died alongside?
Did it happen before or after Saturn killed the remnants of the Silver Millennium?
So, Queen Serenity left them to die?

Like you said, if everyone else got reincarnated without having to have someone directly demand an audience before the Guardian Cosmos, why did Queen Serenity?

But the most important question, if this is indeed after the fall of the Silver Millennium, how in the world did Queen Serenity die?
She looks perfectly fine!

The more 'lore' there is, the more nonsensical everything is.

Or another concept of that big lore Naoko never explained. Again, then why only Queen Serenity took the seed of the Princess when it's no necessary at all? So if a character dies, someone has to take their seeds to the Cauldron? Physically? And what about the Inners and Outers seeds?

Those are all my questions!! I'm still waiting for sailormoongalaxy answer, and I hope they don't resort to the ' Osabu said in an interview that the plot holes is what makes the manga really good ' story. Osano....that man that probably gets a paycheck from PNP every time she promotes the manga in a interview/SM event. :pirate:

I just need to know why The Quartet were still there. If they appear when Sailor Chibi Moon is trouble....how are they still there if she no longer exists?

I was expecting them to fade away or something alongside Eternal Chibi Moon but they lasted longer than anyone else so...
And the bigger question of how can they exist without their Star Seeds considering they 'give' them to Sailor Moon yet are able to freely stay alive and maintain their physical form.
Just by this fact alone completely contradicts the WHOLE premise of this last arc.

For years, fans have been complaining on how the 90s anime version is underwhelming and bad and Cosmos is not in there and how Chibi Chibi doesn't make any sense but what about the manga?
How does anything of this make sense??? :circles:

Oh Lady Pen, you sweet devil.

Also, also how did Queen Serenity even managed to reach the depths of the Cauldron which is supposedly an impossible feat?
She again appears unharmed as if reaching the Guardian Cosmos was a walk in the park for her.

Does except for 'concepts', does Stars have any substance at all?

Yeah, I mean, it’s not like everything else in the manga makes sense.

Maybe I got it completely wrong, but my guess is that the Cauldron is the actual Sea of Possibilities, and your melted Seed isn't really you, it is both what you were and the many things you might be. Every Seed that existed melts down, but you don’t automatically get resurrected just because you do or because you ask. So, Queen Serenity The Mother, as owner of the Silver Crystal, went there and asked for her daughter and everyone connected to her to be resurrected in the future. That's why they basically have the same personality, while the Chaos incarnations are, well, evil, but very different from each other.

Idk, I understood it like this.

In the movie or manga, at no point is it said that a Star Seed can teleport into the Cauldron after the guardian's death.
So, there is a death guardien (angel of death), Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon? Sailors Gardeners?

Galaxia is seen grabbing the Star Seeds, throwing them into the Cauldron. Only two people are seen jumping into the Cauldron: Eternal Sailor Moon & Queen Serenity.

NS is seen seeing Guardian Cosmos to bring his life back to life and give him her Silver Crystal (since PS inherited it from his mother).
As someone said above, Guardian Cosmos told NS the same thing, if she wants to reincarnate, or whatever. Since the dialogue between GC and Usagi is a continuation of the past. Same choices of possibility just Usagi doesn't replicate what NS did. She chooses to continue living, where NS chose death.

We’re talking about people who think that a manga with a childish writing style (where you have to use your imagination to fill in the blanks) is meant for adults and young adults. You can’t expect coherent responses from people who have no real judgement and base their thoughts purely on an emotional connection born out of nostalgia they’re desperately trying to hide and show with pride their love for a SM for adults.

PATHETIC!!!

Of course Talentless!!!!!!!!!!!! You are meant to give that substance. Osabu says so in an interview. Remember?

Stars stops making sense as soon as Galaxia rips the crystal out of Mamoru, a crystal with power equivalent to the Silver Crystal, because the Golden Crystal has the same power as the Silver Crystal. Written by Naoko Takeuchi in Act 46. Oh yes, the Stars arc connects so well with the previous arcs.

Just as I suspected... it’s your imagination talking because none of that happens in the manga or in Cosmos.

The Starseeds travel to the Cauldron as butterflies that is what is shown in the Manga.
Usagi is spoiled and the Cauldron Guardian allowed Usagi to leave the Cauldron with the Cosmos Crystal hahaha.
