I like to make fun of it too but it's because I can't get over it, I'm still mad. The are very little few things I can say I really love, a few bands, far fewer people,a few movies, a few videogame franchises, Slayers, Sailor Moon, Saint Seiya, and maybe one or two more animes. My expectations from Crystal were over the Moon (wink), I was expecting to watch every episode in awe because in my head Sailor Moon was a really important franchise (for me it still is) and I thought they where going to put a lot of effort in the reboot, but no, my heart was broken and I still can't get over it. The weirdest thing is that I never held a grudge over anything for so long...

That's just the thing. We can and should be critical of franchises we love. Just look what has happened to almost all of my favorites over at the Mouse company. Horrible.
However, I think one sad truth is that we all eventually realize that remakes and reboots are almost always bad. It's natural for us to want more when we love something, but these companies aren't continuing these old franchises out or respect and care...it's just to milk us for more money.
I take what enjoyment I can from Crystal, and while I am very disappointed, I am also happy it's at least kept Sailor Moon alive and all in all I've had fun...whether it was getting up early just to catch the episodes as they were released in the ONA days or coming on here reading everyone's thoughts in these, the possible final days of the reboot.

No, no! It makes perfect sense if you read the manga.
They are from the PAST placed there (for some reason) in the Amazon Rain Forest (?!!) to wait for someone specific to serve (whom no one knew was going to exist several millennia later and on the other side of the planet) but Nehelennia (somehow) found them and awakened them as her minions. *gasps for air* Then Sailor Moon restores them because surprise, asteroids have senshi too.
BUT (for reasons unexplained) had to wait until the someone they were waiting for needed them in the future.

So technically they were useless until the future when they suddenly will return (somehow) from being obscure and inexplicably go from being one note villains to secret soldiers to our last survivors and main POV for what is supposed to be the most pivotal moment in history... (yet we still know next to nothing about them and have zero emotional attachment)

Do you think during the SM serialization, Osabu was her private driver too?

Concerning the Quartet, never cared much about them.
I always took them as the weird group who had weird ass hairstyles for budget Walmart hats and quickly forgot about them.
Then Eternal came and oh boy!
Nothing makes sense about them and no, they are not at the Eternal level - their uniforms are a miss-match of basic + Eternal elements.
That is only for one reason - because Chibi-Usa is already at the Eternal level; after all you can't have a Lvl 100 pseudo Legendary Dragonite being protected by 4 LvL 5 Teddiursas

Besides by the very rules Hime herself established, someone can't be born into the Eternal level as all upgrades before the Crystal level were given by an external source, the Crystal level was an awakening and the Eternal level took the union of all members of the Solar System.
And you know what, this isn't a theory - we have a LIVING, BREATHING EXAMPLE WITH CHIBI-USA who awakens in the basic form and has to go the normal route to get stronger.

I guess battles in the Sailor Moon manga are like dominoes or cards, ya know whoever of the 2 players throws the stronger hand wins on the first turn

Why didn't Takeuchi get the Spectre Sisters back & turn them into (Eternal) Senshi as well, making them the Outers equivalents for ESCM's Sailor Team?

The only way pirates can get it earlier is if the BD comes out in Japan before the movie gets released on Netflix or another streaming platform, if not, they'll get it the same day of the streaming release, unless it's cam recorded from cinema like the leaks we've already seen.
