Mayyyyybe ! And maybe he was the one who lost her precious PQ Angels manuscript on purpose so he could get revenge on her for being abusives with him and calling him PIG for so many years
That’s anyway my head canon and with this franchise we all know we are encouraged to use our imagination NE ?
In any case I've always thought his role is quite suspicious - as I've speculated here in the past, he could be a mole planted by Toei in Kodansha, or could even be a double agent of both companies. He also feels like those ancient Chinese eunuchs who'd got the trust of those lazy emperors who handled the affairs of state only thru or even entirely by them, in order to enjoy the colorful life 24/7 w/ the thousands of imperial concubines carefully selected from around the whole country, as well as the tons of various other entertainments in the vast imperial palace (until being toppled internally or externally). lol

Osabu as a NT suitor? Wait what? Is he straight?
As straight as Minako's agent in PGSM....:creeper:
While he's certainly effeminate, there's nothing implying that he must be gay in the show, & effeminate men can still be straight just as they can be gay - in fact, I suspect that he might have a past relationship w/ Ikuko-mama, basing on some innuendos between the two characters. :)

Why do you think so?
Not really seriously thinking so, more like my headcanon: Toei using him to collect intelligence on the upcoming manga to be released by Kodansha as early as in their embryonic stage, to spot their potentials to be animated & influence their content so that they could suit to be so. Likewise, Kodansha could also use him to influence Toei for its own advantage after discovering he's a Toei mole - sounds like a spy thriller. XD

That's just the thing. We can and should be critical of franchises we love. Just look what has happened to almost all of my favorites over at the Mouse company. Horrible.
However, I think one sad truth is that we all eventually realize that remakes and reboots are almost always bad. It's natural for us to want more when we love something, but these companies aren't continuing these old franchises out or respect and care...it's just to milk us for more money.
I take what enjoyment I can from Crystal, and while I am very disappointed, I am also happy it's at least kept Sailor Moon alive and all in all I've had fun...whether it was getting up early just to catch the episodes as they were released in the ONA days or coming on here reading everyone's thoughts in these, the possible final days of the reboot.
To me ,I am not happy everything crystal did.I wished the show would been like fruits basket reboot.Where it was all television episodes and just like this close to manga.( I really wished sxs was handled better) Still I like it and still good in my opinion. I always wanted a close manga adaption.
I am glad got it.I wish it did not took them this long produce them.I hope my country get to see Cosmos in theathers.

I want that as well but I think Naoko and TOEI should have reused the 90s designs from the get-go.

I don't think using 90 designs would in my oppinion been ideal. The 90s designs are good, but they fit the 90s.Since this is a reboot them having there own style would make it more ideal.Besides it would made more confusing .People would of think this is a remake of the 90s anime.

Personally I think Cosmos looked the best Crystal had.

Cosmos used the 90s design, the main issue is that the manga designs do not sell to the domestic fanbase who prefer the 90s anime, this is one of the reasons why the reboot is inconsistent, we need to have a solution that pleases the domestic and the international and domestic fanbase, not something that pleases only one side of the fanbase or else the reboot/remake will not sell well.

He is doing pretty bad job, considering the fact the last time Toei had a hit was in early 2010s with Mononoke, which was not even Kodansha related. :D

He's a Kodansha guy, apparently been there since 1986 and even been credited in other stuff like the Hell Girl anime.

Kinda makes me wish it was easier to find manga editor information since most of them are only in published interviews or chats that almost never get translated. See Togashi for example

Apparently his time with that lasted a year and if I'm not mistaken, this was during one of his longer breaks from Hunter x Hunter.

I just received the artbook.

-> Sailor Chaos is indeed Chaos reincarnated as a senshi.
-> Sailor Cosmos is Usagi of the present. Simply that over the years, Usagi had lost her courage and what made her a senshi (the famous Cosmos speech - In the interview of the actress who doubles Sailor Cosmos. She says, Usagi from the past, and Usagi from the future as well.)
