This is a mix bag for me - I DO like the concept idea and that each girl has a different flower but it's still very basic/online free-lance artist level in it's execution.
The dresses could have benefited with more individuality - like for example giving Michiru a shawl, accentuating Minako's orange shoulder sleeves etc.
Setsuna and Hotaru are the best though - their outfits really stand out.

The art is meh - I think Haruka, here, best illustrates the problem with Tadano's body anatomy; super long legs but tiny stomachs/upper bodies length. They look juvenile yet not at the same time - it can get quite weird like Makoto and Rei here.

I must say I'm getting some serious Winx Club vibes here with the very similar dress patterns that have no distinct pattern of their own and the similar poses of one hand down and one hand up. :creeper:

Seriously does Tadano not know anymore how to input expressivity and body language into her art?
Is this supposed to be like the 'manga' and Takeuchi's covers' generic poses?
These are not setteis, come on! Put some fun in there!
Especially since these are supposed to be the girls in 'fashion' which a lot of animes do for the goods line-up and they bloom of expressivity.
https://flic.kr/p/2oBbSdF https://flic.kr/p/2oB6XRB Can I have some personality going on in here, please?
Where's Minako's whimsical self, Rei's sassiness, Michiru's ohime-sama/Madonna vibes, Haruka's Takarazuka references?
They're all wearing jewelry and have their birthstones as necklaces, couldn't they have slightly upped their hairstyles with 'rich-party' hairdos?
Does Toei not care that much anymore or Sailor Moon has been relegated to the 'boring' magical girl line-up?

You’re right, I just notice they all have their other arm up, for whatever reason. And people are buying this..

Has anyone noticed in the Tadano art that the Senshi rarely have the breast plate and torso part of their fuku separated? Maybe that’s what makes the body seem so ‘flat’

The eternal fuku doesn’t have a breast plate.

It seems that if anybody could get Naoko to draw completely new original artwork of the senshi, it was CHANEL...which makes much more sense to me when I think about it, lol

ETA: My apologies for posting this in the wrong thread. I see that it was already posted in a more accurate one much earlier, lol. If the mods want to delete it, they definitely can!

So Takeuchi's latest obsession/career path is to be a fashion designer now?
Overall, it's uninteresting...
Half of these are copied from her own work (guess that progress from copying photo stills?).
Usagi and Michiru are repurposed from the Kanzenban covers, Ami is doing the same thing, Haruka has the same pose...
Rei is copied from a panel of the manga...
I'm sure for Hotaru and Pluto too there's a panel in the manga that is similar to them...
Makoto is meh...
Only Minako is interesting but now it's seems the poor girl is relegated to be eternally stuck waving the peace sign...

^ Yeah, it's actually a collaboration between CHANEL & Warhol. :)

I have studied Chanel’s history, I know her history and the history of Karl Lagerfeld (Lagerfeld starred in a Warhol’s film in 1970, “L’amour”)…

and if there is actually a collaboration between CHANEL and Takeuchi…

Well.
