I agree with you mrploddy.

I also think having to take everything in during one sitting was hard. I was trying to follow the story in a language that isn’t my native tongue whilst also mentally taking notes for you all. There was no time to pause, rewatch and really absorb things like I did with the other seasons of Crystal. It was nice watching Sailor Moon on the big screen and certainly was an experience I’ll cherish but I’m not much of a cinema person. I’d much rather watch it at home with a cup of tea wrapped in a blanket where I can watch at my own pace.

I’m not sure what format Stars will come out in but part of me hopes it’s a TV anime just so we have something that we can all discuss each week.

Dreading to find out how much the blu-rays will Beas I’m sure one or other store will do a keepsake box to collect both parts so will end up paying full price.

I’m sure they’ll have deluxe box versions and then the standard Blu Ray release. I purchased any of the original Crystal releases but for Eternal I may make an exception.

I spent so long dreaming of these movies and it’s weird to think we won’t have anything exciting to discuss for the immediate future :(

When Crystal s3 came out I made the mistake of buying from Rakuten Books at25% off and missed the keepsake box Animate had at full price

Disnt make that same mistake again paid full price for S and Stars Blu-ray to get the Amazon boxes

So my question is will there be a shop specific extra that will make me pay full price or not

Say each part is 10000 full price the discounted preorders will be 15000 or 2000 for the with full price with bonus version....

How many times are you going to say that? I mean it is nice and all, just don't get your hopes too high by insisting on stuff that most likely won't happen and you will spoil your chances of like the product as is.
Actually, what I am trying to say is that Crystal and Eternal is the adaptation of Manga + Artbook Notes + Materials Collection.

The Looks of the Eternal Senshi came from the fourth artbook and the materials collection as well, which was the design of the Eternal Upgrades of the other senshi originally intended for the 90s anime by Naoko that TOEI rejected back then.

As much as I'd like to agree... Crystal was a compromised manga adaptation. I do not think they will go beyond manga content.

In the case of SM Eternal, the upgrades were the ones we were supposed to see in Neherenia Arc back then.

So yeah based on what I heard, I think part 2 of Eternal is a mix of Sailor Stars Neherenia Arc Animation Side(Stock footage tracing+ Concept art(Materials collection+Artbook IV)) and Dreams Manga Story-wise.

I would say that a lot ideas that came from images from the art books are in Crystal. And the art books were illustrated by the author and, therefore, they carry the same weight as the manga does.

Wasn’t identifying you in particular just making general comments as some of the nitpicking over the trailers has been quite intense

Animation should be consistent and have attention to detail not saying it shouldn’t but in this day and age can’t expect this from Toei on the tight budget they had - probably little scope for redrawing frames

People who get hung up about that level of detail will be disappointed

By the way

Just imagine if SM was like this exquisite - we can but dream....
I would watch a show like this if it was magical girl and not overly violent. This gives me Sailor Stars vibes when Usagi is announcing the clubs all the others are joining.

Indeed.

Indeed, minus the redemptions.

Yes, Indeed.

The only thing I can think of is the senshi x shittenou and it actually ruined the adaptation of the first arc.

TOEI recently said online to treat the remake of the last two arcs as the alternative Sequel to 3 arcs of the 90s anime, that is basically what I said before that they should have made a DBZ Kai treatment of the three first arcs then remake the two final arcs.

The Editors and TOEI were proven right in removing the Shitenou and Senshi romance in the 90s anime and manga.

I don't think the problem was the romance. They have it musicals. With no problem. The problem was hey we probably need a few episodes too fully developed it.

TOEI rushed it basically, so in some way, Naoko lost in that, even if she insisted on having that, it's like them giving a middle finger to Naoko herself.

I don't think the romance idea was the problem, the problem was the extrem limited time they had to bring the story. It's feel at the end rushed and totally forced. If they knew they had no time to bring the story then they should have drop it! I’ll never understand their choices about that!
