Rather than continue to discuss them in my Kodansha Picture Books thread, I thought it was about time I created a new thread solely dedicated to all of the Sailor Moon comics and other features that appeared in Tanoshii Youchien from 1992 until around 2004/2005. I still hope these comics manage to get an official re-release someday, but until then, I'll be sharing what I find in this thread.

You can read my scanlation of the first chapter, which appeared in the April 1992 issue, over on my Tumblr page.

The earliest issue I own is the October 1992 one:

This issue contained an original story rather than an adaptation of an episode:

Here's an ad for what I believe was that month's furoku item:

Some bonus cuteness:

The cover / first page of the Activity Game Book:

A maze:

Magic Ball Hunt!
Help out Mars and Mercury by collecting ten magic balls.
Proceed through the maze and gather them as you go. You can't pass through the monsters.
Sailor Mercury: We're counting on you!

Sailor Moon: Count carefully!
Text Balloon: Can you gather all ten?
Luna: You can do it!

Another counting activity:

Bug and Bird Competition
TyrannoRanger is trying to catch dragonflies with his net, and Sailor Moon is trying to catch butterflies. Count the bugs and see who will catch more.

Sailor Moon: I'm gonna get a whole bunch!

The next issue I have is, well, the next one (November 1992):

This issue contains Sailor Jupiter's introduction story:

The ad for that month's furoku item, a Sailor Moon x Minky Momo Christmas Party Box:

Some bonus cuteness:

The cover / first page of the Activity Game Book:

A connect-the-dots puzzle:

Shopping at a Fashionable Goods Store
What did the three girls buy? Connect the numbered dots and the answer will be revealed.
Luna: Hey, what did you get?
Rei: Something for when it rains.

Usagi: Does this suit me?
Ami: I'm taking this to school.

Find the matching strawberry cakes:

Errand Maze
Make your way back home by buying only what is shown in each shop. Avoid the cars.

Next up: the April 1993 issue:

This issue featured the conclusion to the Dark Kingdom arc:

The cover / first page of the Activity Game Book:

Wake Up Fast, Usagi!
Color the parts marked with circles pink and the parts marked with stars yellow. Then fold along the line. Usagi will transform.
Mercury: She's still sleeping!

Usagi: Transform into the Moon Princess.

Bonus cuteness:

The ad for that month's furoku item, the Moon Princess Dresser:

Moving right along, here's the February 1997 issue:

"Becoming Enemies? Uranus & Neptune"

The "Sailor Special Attack" - Eternal Sailor Moon and the Inners attack Sailor Tin Nyanko in 3D!

A watercolor illustration:

Usagi, Ultraman, and Kitaro investigating a spooky mansion:

Usagi as a tea maid:

Some more random cuteness:

I'm surprised that there was a Cardian featured in one of these things, but the aliens themselves were absent. A monster of the day gets more love in supplementary material than the filler antagonists. Shame.

In all seriousness, thank you for the free translations.

These are really cute, but it's weird for me to see Minky Momo and Sailor Moon together for some reason. Maybe it's because they shared a lot of the same Studio Live staff (Kazuko Tadano, Hiromi Matsushita, etc.)?

Also, Usagi looks like a 60's character and Luna looks like Doraemon.

I actually have the 1995 December issue of this magazine in my possession. It features a recap of SuperS Episode 150 where Momo is targeted by the Amazoness Quartet. Some family friends from Japan gave this issue to my sister back in the late nineties. They had a little girl at the time, and she must have had some fun with scissors and markers one day since the copy has some things cut out of it and markings randomly throughout, but it’s more or less in tact. I’d be happy to send photos if that’d be of any interest to anyone.

Here you go - I'm having some difficulties showing these as images within the post, so i've attached the links. Apologies for the inconvenience >.<

03/03 Edit: Figured out how to replace the links with the images themselves (though ran out of room for the last two, so those are still links). See updated post below:

@ShinraiTenchi That's a Cooking/Baking Instruction, right? Is it Motchi? Or Moonpie? In every case, it's supposed to look like :usagi:'s face. Neato.

P. S.: Round Post Number (1400). Seems I got a run. :)
