Okay so, some people think the Sailor Starlights are men, Which they aren't. I'm gonna say why. So for one, Naoko Takeuchi said only females can be sailor soldiers. For two. The Sailor Starlights used a male disguise to find their princess which Princess Kakyuu asked Seiya/Fighter something about them wearing men's clothes. That's all I can really say about this topic :chibichibi: Oh and It doesn't really relate to what I'm talking about but fun fact: The Three Lights first names are actually all "Kou" (which means they aren't siblings.

Yes i actually talked about that at in one thread

this is what i said

i dont know if i am going to get in trouble for this , but after analysing it , i cant really consider the three lights as transgender , a transgender person is someone that wants to be a woman or a man for his or her own will, not because the circuntamces have obligated to that person to.
and thats the case of the three lights , even if they got transformed into men and all , the reasons why they do that is why i cant consider them as trans.
If it werent by the princess stuff , they would have had never transformed into men , and do you think that when they got to get back to their planet , they would transform into men again:question:.
i think that the answer is no , cause they only transformed into men to accomplish the task of finding the princess , if theres no princess to rescue then theres no reason to tranform into man.

I honestly don't get why people consider them as trans because they only became men to find their princess.

The starlight are woman in all versions, but in the anime, they use magic to have male appearance while in the mange they are crossdresser.
I watched sailor star in original version
When kakyu showed herself she ask seiya
Fighter, did you have this appearance since you live in earth ?
Seiya blushed and reply : yes we are searching for woman, so we thought that having males appearances would be better to find you.
They used magic like usagi with her pen I think, or they have other power Which allows them to turn into a man but it's definitely not their real gender. Usagi transformed herself into a men with her pen in the manga and she was so hot

Starlights are "female Humanoids'

On Earth they would be considered as "trans" in the 90's version because they quite visibly are. However, it's a "disguise on Earth", not something they base their existence on. They go right back to their female humanoid forms in the end.

It's really not too different from youma "pretending to be humans" only to revert back to their monster form.

Yes, it’s magic, youma used magic to pretend human on earth…
like the magic pen of usagi, usagi used it to transform herself into a man in the manga, and she looked a bit like motoki

i think that if the starlights would get to return to earth , after the events of stars , they would wear fem civil clothes , they wouldnt need to use male clothes or bodies since their disguise thing was just to rescue their princess.

the only way in which they would return to use male civil clothes or bodies , would be that their princess would get lost again:P or that a whole different plan would require to do that , something that would be extremely coincidential but possible, i guess.
