I like Crystal Mars in the early episodes. Rei quickly bonds with Ami and clearly wants to have friends and also gains a sense of belonging when she realizes why she has her powers. I like seeing her vulnerable.
I love crystal mars too, she’s so elegant and distinguished. She reminds me of Veronica from riverdale, a rich beautiful and elegant girl with some daddy issue. I think that Naoko should have developed more Rei’s story, of the five senshi, she has the most interesting background story.

Same for me, but I started with saint seiya and then sailor moon came and I wanted to know more about the universe and the stars, and the black hole and all that stuff. Thanks To Naoko sensei and Massami sensei
Would be nice if one day a Nobel Prize winning astronomer would reveal that s/he was inspired by Sailor Moon or Saint Seiya during childhood. :D

Astronaut: I'm going to the Cauldron, anyone want me to bring something back?
Yeah, & astronauts too, & they'd also watch Sailor Moon or Saint Seiya in a space station. :D

for my case, it was only as an amateur, for example, I watched saint seiya when I was very young, I knew nothing about the cosmos and constellations, it was in saint seiya that I learned their existence, and then sailor moon came to complete. But it didn't motivate me to become an astronaut. I obtained several years later, a master's degree in psychology. But it was nice to learn about, and I’m still passionate about the universe, the stars, the black holes and all that stuff.

We wouldn't be here without Naoko Takeuchi and her story-writing skills. Romance writing in particular is often difficult, but she does it well.
You wouldn't be here without the 90's anime staff hard work, skills and their life experience. Her romance writing is silly and childish, the typical Nakayoshi teen romance story from the 80's. :fork:

I don't really do much here, but I think everyone should look back at the beginning of the thread. ^_^

Her style is probably the MOST elegant artstyle I've ever seen. She made me want to become a manga artist too and I'm still very influenced by her. I love how she draws hair, faces, and hands. And wings. And FEET!! A lot of artists complain that they can't draw 'pretty feet' but looking at Naoko's manga helped me learn how!

I think she's especially good at sorrowful expressions; she makes Usagi look so beautiful sometimes! Her whole style is absolutely ethereal and every time I open a chapter, I'm whisked off to a fairytale world filled with elegant, delicate-looking fairy-like beings with flowing white hair.

Welcome to sailormoonforum.com, I guess!

Anyway, I really enjoyed this adaptation of the series with the Infinity, Dream, and Stars arcs being my favorites, and I’m really glad that I got to sort of “be a part” of the experience as it was happening (even through the waiting periods). It reignited my interest in the franchise as a whole (as well as some other anime), along with getting into the SM manga for the first time and getting me interested in reading other works. I can definitely see myself frequently going back to revisit this era of Sailor Moon ::love::

Compare CLAMP's Shoten (where some elements of CLAMP Campus Detectives came from) to the Manga of Naoko Takeuchi prior to Sailor Moon, which of those two deserves an adaptation.

I forgot to mention how much I liked 'New Moon', Season III's opening. :) It's cute!

I IMMEDIATELY recognized the singer from Mawaru Penguindrum (which is another good show...but will probably trigger a lot of people because...Ikuhara's anime are all like that...also very bittersweet ending:()
