I guess I can understand that being a Sailor Moon tie-in group can limit your reach/appeal but like, the whole thing is confusing. They never really committed to the Sailor Moon branding, either. What’s the point in making a deal with Takeuchi and not capitalising on it in your imagery? The ‘collaboration’ was so vague that they probably could’ve gotten away with it as an homage and not had to go through the trouble of paying/auditioning to Naoko. And then Naoko went the extra mile and gave BLACKPINK’s Jennie some actual artwork?
