Something I've always enjoyed about the fandom (and one of the things that still makes YouTube fun) are the fan henshin sequences for Sailor Moon.
Some of my favorites such as Celeurmouy have been active again, and then this jewel was posted recently: (warning, tons of flashing lights and intense glitter)

While some of it is heavily based on Sailor Moon Crystal, this one just flows better and the unique touches and concepts here are just better in so many ways without suffering from the CGI creepy factor.
They also manage to pull of manga Usagi/Sailor Moon better than Toei.

If any of you have favorite fan-made transformations (Sailor Moon or otherwise), please share them. I've probably already seen them, but maybe others have not.

That energy surge into the backbow and then skirt transition has me screaming. Stars movie better be as vibrant as this cause I like the colors.

What I like about this transformation is the heart put into it. It doesn't feel so washed out and stiff to say one person animated this.

In fact, I'd argue and say this looks much better than Moon Crisis Make Up from the Eternal movie (the actual transformation scene not the pose).

Can't wait for Stars movie trailer. I'm sure the internet is gonna break.

It's almost slightly on the edge of being overdone, but I like how she goes from a plain-but-pretty Usagi to a more mature, dolled-up looking Sailor Moon. Really brings home the idea that they're supposed to be "Pretty Soldiers" and constantly referring to themselves as such. The whole thing is stunning.

It's incomplete, but I like this one. I really wish they'd take one last shot during Stars and give us refreshed transformations for everyone - not just redraws with slight or no changes - considering it'll be their final time appearing onscreen, until if/when yet another adaptation releases. Probably won't get it, but meh.

That's precisely why I think Takeuchi would like it if she saw it. :D And there's a reason why they say "make up!", not "transform!" nor "change!", during their transformations.

It really helps that music is so good too! I can't stop listening to it.

I agree. It is just about bordering being excessive with the sparkles, but I can't get enough. I think they hit a good balance.

As much as I am looking forward to it, I don't expect Eternal/Stars to give us any new fully animated sequences beyond Eternal Sailor Moon, which is almost certainly going to be traced either way. :( I'm sure Starlights will be if they are even shown and Kakyu, Chibi Chibi and anyone else will probably be quick flashes.
I am looking forward to Celeurmuoy finishing this one. It's sad that some fans in their comments can't appreciate the original works they create. The originality in their sequences has always amazed me.
Me too. :)

So true! It gives me energy just watching this, such a snappy and perfect sequence.

Exactly! Sailor Moon revels in its femininity and I love that. It's also very feminine without coming off as too cute or fluffy.

If they age up the designs, and add more frames and smooth the animation more, it will still be something. But I doubt that. :( I guess this artstyle will stick...
