The one thing I liked about our R-Stars dub is that Uranus and Neptune's VAs were spot-on.

I love the European Spanish opening song for SM!
It has its share of controversy. Some Spanish moonies claim the opening was left instrumental during the TV broadcasts they watched, and others claim they heard this Spanish-translated version. But it's not that weird, considering Sailor Moon aired in various Spanish TV stations during distinct moments.

I love how Sailor Venus' Brazilian season 1 voice was the perfect balance between maturity and youthfulness.
She would return as Star Fighter's senshi form later on.
Fun fact: Artemis's season 1 VA and Seiya's VA are the same. Funny how both voice actors have wide vocal ranges and played characters tied to each other in both occasions.

The Italian dubbing team really nailed it with voice direction and song adaptations IMO.
Despite the censorship, it's easily one of the SM dubs with most solid acting out there. I find it interesting that even though the characters didn't actually yell out their transformation and attack calls, they still came off sounding powerful.

Italian promo for a rerun of Sailor Moon Classic in 1996. They used to redub scenes of the show with the characters advertising premieres and reruns back then.
Considering the series premiered there on 1995 and this promo contains footage from the S movie, it's quite impressive how fast they bought new content. They aired Stars in 1997, they were probably the first country outside Japan to do it.

I remember there was Italian dub for the R movie with real name and they promoted the first season to be released soon. Sadly I cannot send it anymore

They released the R movie in 2004 with a redub and were planning to release a redubbed first season, but the license block by Naoko back then screwed them and the money they invested on it. It was being produced in Rome (unlike the classic dub, which was done in Milan) and a lot of actresses who voice characters in Winx Club were involved. Chibiusa was voiced in the R movie by the same actress who voices Bloom.
Apparently, now that Naoko is in full control and distribution rights are harder and more expensive to negotiate, most countries can't afford for redubs if the classic ones are available. It's the same as asking to lose money. Dynit from Italy mentioned they wished to redub the show with original names and all, but the home video release wouldn't pay itself if they did that.
Crystal's Italian dub ended up being made in Rome instead of Milan as well, but they went with a third voice cast.

The Italian dub of Crystal, though, was great. I remember they adapted the openings. I love when a dub does that. I guess they were willing to pay for it.

They even delayed the premiere in order to dub the endings as well, but Toeinoko were too difficult and didn't allow them in the end.

2003 actually but yeah, there are even pages from the old Shin Vision website that are archived that implied at least 2 volumes of season 1 were ready, not sure if they ever came out though.

Apparently Cloverway gave Chilevision a version of the Latin American master more complete than the ones they usually gave to TV channels.
They even had localized eyecatches! This recording is from 1998.
@MementoNepenthe you, who like to dig into Sailor Moon's early story, this channel is full of old TV recordings of Cloverway masters for Latin America. You may find it interesting, there's even a Sailor Stars opening with the classic DiC logo on it.
