Can we talk about the unofficial covers that Marisa de Lille (official Latin Spanish dub singer for Moonlight Densetsu, Heart Moving, Maboroshi no Ginzuishou) did years ago for songs uncovered by the Mexican dub?
Some are REALLY good, such as Watashitachi ni Naritakute.

I know you posted this months ago but holy crap what a beautiful cover.

And they didn't cover Watashitachi ni Naritakute for the Mexican dub when it was used as an insert like in the US/Canada dub? Was it just left in it's original Japanese?

It was just left in Japanese.

The only insert song that was dubbed was Maboroshi no Ginzuisho, which was only included in a couple of TV airings. The other insert songs were removed, replaced or left in Japanese. The latest TV airing did restore most of the songs though.

No they didn't. Actually they didn't cover any song from R-onwards. Sometimes it was left in Japanese, instrumental, or even removed.
While Maboroshi no Ginzuishou somehow missed from a lot of Latin American airings/releases... It was in the Brazilian version, in all its Spanish glory

Not surprising. Toei's gonna Toei. I know the Mexican Spanish and English dubs of Dragon Ball only got to keep 4 out of like 12 uses of insert songs. Then there was the weird case where the Pioneer dub of the first two Z movies got to keep the vocal songs the Funimation redubs got stuck with an instrumental.

I'm honestly surprised the Cloverway/Optimum dub didn't have any missing songs.

They didn't seem to have a instrumental version of Route Venus in episode 154 nor a full instrumental version of Watashitachi ni Naritakute.

I remember hearing the company that dubbed Dragon Ball in Catala got all the vocal songs on separate unlabeled tapes. I wonder if this was the same for Sailor Moon, since all the insert songs were randomly replaced. For example, Aino Senshi in episode 102 is replaced with Rashiku Ikimasho.

Oh yeah, I always wondered what was going on with certain dubs when some Japanese songs are replaced with different Japanese songs

The Hebrew dub (one of the last ones to be done for the old anime, back in 2010-11) was the first dub to ever cover Princess Moon, and pretty much every insert song at the very least had its original instrumental. The Korean redub apparently was the same situation. I think Toei distributes the audio and video files a lot more properly nowadays. Their international script is what still sucks.

So this is kinda old news but one year ago SailorMoonWorld facebook page(a big italian Sailor Moon Community) made a post saying they were contaced by a company interested in an italian redub of the 90's anime and they were asked to test the waters among the fans. Unfortunately Nothing came out of this so far Unfortunately but I thought it could be an interesting piece of information ti share, maybe Netflix or Amazon(the only companies in Italy able to afford the rights and a redub of 90's anime) are interested in the global rights of Sailor Moon?

I don't think so.
Netflix, Amazon and top tier companies usually don't contact fanpages before doing their stuff. I mean, not even Crunchyroll does that.
This contact was probably done by some minor company thinking they would be able to be granted permission from Toei/PNP to pay for a dub, and they probably got "no we already have a dub and won't let anyone touch our IP" as an answer.

I would not trust a small company with 90's anime redub so it is probably for the better I guess . Still it could have been the only chance for a blue ray release here in Italy so I part of me wishes the project went through

@Clow :kero:
”Even if you buy us the most expensive clothes, you cannot repair the damage you have done to ours…” ^_^' She sounds like Poitrine! Did she actually say that in the original Japanese version?

I finished watching the 90’s anime in 2009-2010, and haven’t watched Classic since then. Do forgive me for not remembering this episode!

As always, Gota Mágica’s dub is… magical.

I wonder why an alternative English dub to Dic was not made for the SM 90s anime, since CCS was dubbed twice and completed in English.

Perhaps the Speedy dub not complete is a blessing in disguise for English SM fans.

Wait, I cannot believe Usagi sounds good here. I have heard other snippets of the Brazillian Dub and she sounds way way worse. Have they changed her after Classic? The rest just sound off.
I think you heard low-quality audio clips I used to post here.
Even I was surprised when better sounding full episodes came out through fans.
