While it probably would have been pretty interesting to watch, I'm glad they didn't go with this idea for the film. It sounds totally off the deep end, like a weird side story fever dream rather than a 90s anime-consistent plot. Maybe that's what Uranus was thinking about while she was dealing with that illness in the side episode...
It would've been very great if the movie during the ending when Neptune awakens from her sleep by Uranus causing the Outers to finally gain their Crystal Power upgrade and using their new attacks to defeat the enemy including Eternal Sailor Moon using her Tiare to purify the End of the World

It seems like a mix of Utena and “Promise of the Rose” with Uranus being possessed by something and then re-gaining her senses like Fioré did.

That's okay. I won't hurt you just because you have poor taste.
You are speaking truths. The S movie was a snooze. The SuperS movie was fun and gave us a lot of cool moments.
So you're liking & replying to a post dated "Nov 17, 2007," :oh my: which poster was last seen in "Feb 22, 2015," according to current records.

Honestly, I don't think the end product would have ended up being as weird as it was described. His R movie wasn't like that, so why would his SuperS movie be any different? I believe if he were to follow through with directing the SuperS movie, his more outrageous ideas would have been reined in while still allowing his talent to shine through.

Absolutely. The problem is Luna. The character is not good enough to hold a 60-minute feature. I don't know what Takeuchi was thinking about when she decided to write the story for the film.

If he made this SuperS film, I think we wouldn’t have ever gotten Utena. So in some ways I’m glad it didn’t happen because Utena is a masterpiece. But I still wish we could see it lol
Knowing his way of doing things he would've expanded the concepts in a TV show. At the end of the day, it's what Utena is. Some of its themes were already touched in S and SuperS, but in Utena he took them to the next level. Utena was meant to exist, in one way or another.

1. I did not notice.
That's fine. :)

2. So what?
Nothing at all - anyone is totally free to reply to any old posts, h/e old they are & h/e long their poster has been inactive, & there's not any forum rule forbidding it. I pointed that out just because I thought it's interesting & all.

I like the SuperS movie we got. It's nice.

Honestly, this original concept sounds bizzare even for this show. I'd want more details to help it make sense

As SuperS is focused on Chibiusa, it's quite natural that its movie is also being so. :)
If the film was made after or during SuperS, it seems like they didn’t learn from their mistakes.

S was a breathtaking season. They should have done something equal or superior to S.

They did learn from it after SuperS, tho, in Stars, but too late & not as well done. *sigh*

And, correct me if I am wrong, but didn’t important important people who belonged to the animation staff (aside from Ikuhara) left TOEI after SuperS?

I think SuperS should have been more like the first arc of Stars. I love episode 167.

Iriya Azuma, one the most important producers. That's why Ikuhara couldn't work on his version of the SuperS film. He says so in one his interviews.

Sadly, it seems they tried to copy S too much.
S was well done, it did copy the "Rainbow Crystal" style targeting of humans, but it was the first season to go heavy on that...this should have stopped after the talismans were found, in my opinion. It made Mimete seem redundant.

SuperS doubled down on it hard and I still think that's one of the main reasons it felt so stale. I don't even really blame them, though. It was getting hard to stretch this kind of breakneck story over nearly 40 episodes.
Then Stars...ugh.
I still love it all, I just wish they'd mixed things up a bit or at least made it seem more probable that one of the other hearts/mirrors/star seed hosts were the real thing and had some more fighting vs bonding with randos we'd never see again.
