True, but I'm holding out hope because HxH 2011 (Another Viz title that aired on Toonami) did attribute roles to each cast member right down to unnamed characters. Not sure if Studiopolis was involved in that though, so that could very well be a factor. I guess time will tell.

Hunter x Hunter '11 was done at Bang Zoom, so was One Punch Man, JoJo and Yashahime.

Yikes, not even translated. Didn't think that was allowed.

I can add that when it came to Boruto, credits were translated with attributed roles to the dub cast. But the inconsistency definitely isn't promising. Hopefully they surprise us and actually translated them, it would make it worthwhile.

That was always one of the best parts of Toonami shows. The custom intro/commercial break bumpers.

You can watch the dub on Hulu and get the same experience. Just pause and play Toonami bumpers on YouTube in between

With the recent news of this broadcast, I thought it would be cool to see weekly episode promos like we have seen in the past for Naruto and Dragon Ball Super. But I suspect a promo for the entirety of Classic (or at least the first half) will be used to promote the show rather than new promos every week. But because I can, I went ahead and created a concept promo for Episode 2. Because we don't know what the packaging for Toonami Rewind will be, I opted to feature 2002 footage for the Sailor Moon logo and Toonami's current end card for the rest. I'm quite proud of how this turned out, so take a look of what could possibly be!

I haven't seen Toonami in so long. It's exciting but the female host sounds way to "quiet". I liked the robo host because he for some reason got you can excited about the show. Even if you've seen all the episodes they had a way of making things sound pumped up. In the second video they don't though..Brings back some good memories.

I wish they brought back my other two favorite shows too, Yu Yu Hakusho and/or Ronin Warriors.

These are all I need with Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z (Cell Arc) to take me back. If I could rewind time to that feeling....

They tried with Crystal back when it was new but was outbid by Hulu, since then the rest of the adaptation was split to movies and they're in their own licensing hell (Eternal with Netflix, who knows with Cosmos) so there would be no point to just getting seasons 1-3.

When I were younger, I did have some interest in watching Sailor Moon but only under the circumstances that it aired of TV. Too bad this didn't happen around that time .

Just watched (via [adult swim]’s simulcast on their app, using my mom’s DirecTV password). Almost everything was intact except the eye catchers. The opening was the textless version (second variation of OP 1). Only the second half of the ending was used (starting with the closeup of Usagi’s profile), and the next episode preview was intact. The only commercial break was where the eye catcher was.
Yes, the credits were in English, but unfortunately, it only lists the lead English voice actors for Season 1 (and miscredits Nicolas Roye as Usagi’s Father). It even credits characters like Ami, Rei, and Makoto, who don’t appear in this episode.
But happy to watch the show on TV for the first time in over 20 years! Next week will be the US broadcast debut of episode 2, which is pretty neat.
