Does anyone else want to share their thoughts of PGSM or fun facts about it. I've also probably edited some of my thoughts in certain posts above if you've only seen them once the first few minutes they were posted.

In the meantime, I wanted to try to watch Sailor Moon Crystal for the first time. I hope that goes well :googly:

You still have the Kirari special dance lesson video for PGSM. It’s cheesy but I love it.

Kirari special dance lesson

  • Luna almost trips and kills herself. :luna:
  • It's nice to see versions of the song on a smaller scale.
  • Did anyone try to do this themselves?
  • I'm definitely adding this to a list of those retro how to do/ training videos. I like its cheesiness.8)

There're actually many other visual content too, including this "illusionary" or "phantom" episode, which I don't think you can find anywhere (but if you can, pls tell me! ), the tons of extras on each DVD disc (only except the one for the sequel), & the PGSM mascot shows (the VOs for the Senshi characters are done by the Senshi actresses themselves). And there're various audio content too, but not detailing it here.

Whoa, I remember that. I think it was part of a compilation I watched the series through back in the day. They were really rough on Sawai, yikes. Filming the bridge scene sooo many times in the heat and humidity of summer with her wearing a winter uniform... She handled the pressure well, all things considered.

Back then there're also Japanese fans posting their photos of the PGSM shootings in their neighborhood - I remember one showing the Senshi actresses taking off their boots at the set during a shooting break in summer. lol

Crystal is my favorite version of Sailor Moon. :diana:

Make sure to watch it on Pluto TV (free). Pluto TV has the DVD version.

I might just watch it on Hulu. We have the non-commercial version.

What?! No hugging… no flowers...? :O

I wonder what is happening.

Why are people crying?

And why doesn’t Naoko go to the stage to greet the cast anymore? She said that she loves tokusatsu shows and all things that feel theatrical. I suppose that she felt sad after the ice show got canceled—she loves figure skating.

I remember that I downloaded the Making Act on CD-rom!!
(I have it on my collection)

It was cool!! I loved the making of PGSM!!

I loved Queen Beryl performance!!
They can t show the Senshis transformation and attacks...
But they showed for the fist time the Usagi transformation in Sailor Moon!!

Making ACT
  • "Comics" Is there a distinction between "comics" and "manga" in Japan.
  • "Sailormoon Official homepage"
  • I like the music.
  • Komatsu: " I don't have much acting experience." - I think her along with everyone else did an excellent job!
  • Now its time for the pre-acting test. [Tomoe's theme plays] .......Oh boy.
  • Still not enough bunnies:nope:
  • Interesting "making of".

Symbolically, the bunny represents Naoko Takeuchi.

Naoko draws herself as a bunny (the same bunny you see on Usagi’s blanket) and her editor as a pig.

Naoko’s husband draws himself as a dog.

No distinction - it's just written as "コミックス" (komikkusu) or "コミック" (komikku) in Japanese.

Komatsu: " I don't have much acting experience." - I think her along with everyone else did an excellent job!
The other four Senshi actresses had been helping her a lot in many various ways during the entire year-long shooting, including helping her familiarize w/ Sailor Moon (she knew nothing about it before) - they're still close friends these days even after almost two decades.

Apparently, there was a third part. They seem to be doing the stock footage and intro.

Reading all of these old posts reminded me of how much I enjoyed PGSM. I still listen to songs like Kirari Sailor Dream and Sakura Fubuki. I've also come across some art.

I remember seeing this behind the scenes where they kept sliding in their outfits.

There were also some interviews for :usagi: Usagi, :minako: Minako, :mako: Mokoto, and even :whee: Mio.

I do wish there was an outro song but at least there's this to look back on the series of episodes:
