Dark Kingdom Fukkatsu Hen/The Dark Kingdom Resurrection Chapter

• Already loving the music [La Soldier] - reminds me of "Soldiers of love" and "Moon Revenge"

Overall:
Really nice actually, though Usagi did kinda annoy me for most of the first half [not jabbing the actor, she did a spectacular job ]
"La Soldier" might as well be my favorite, I wonder what type of music that is [along w/ Moon revenge]. I didn't expect to love all the songs this much, a few of them, for some reason gave me a 50s/60s vibe or something like that. I also noticed there were at least 3 times when Beryl or someone said "As long as there's hatred/greed/etc in people's heart she will resurrect any number of times": SEQUAL BAIT!!!

Zoisite's gay in this [I didn't know it was still following the 90s Anime.

Also another thing I’d like to point out is that all the Musicals use a mix of both 90’s anime and manga canon, except the old Bandai era leans more towards the 90’s anime while the new Nelke Myus use more manga elements.

Backin 2020 or 2021 I decided to watch the musicals too, but I started with the newest one going backwards. I really enjoyed the new ones but the old one were such a hard watch for me. and it was not because I didn't like the changes or something - just the singing is never strong in these...

Usagi's actor looks much better w/o the wig. That thing should've never seen the light of day.
Hearing the wolf howls in "La Soldier" made me think: Has Sailor Moon ever dabbled in werewolves I thought it'd be interesting since they're known for reacting to the full moon.
I read somewhere that Usagi's actor is part Southern African.
I'll try to see the next one today.

"Ai no Senshi e no Michi"/"The Road to become the Soldier of Love"

• 's wig is a MASSIVE relative improvement
• I like seeing them smile during performance. It's nice to know that they enjoy putting on a show.
• [4:39] - [Solar Miricle Make Up] - Jesus Christ they're flying now.
• [6:46] - [Finding the Talismans] Still liking these villain songs. Wasn't expecting the whole boys vs Girls thing going on
• Really making use of those strings I see.
• [10:24] - [Lovers on the Gondola] Mamo's iconic green blazer! Cute song. On another note, they really nailed the "age gap" look [I even feel a bit creeped out ]

And I don't even know why the others are siding w/ Chibiusa in this. She doesn't even come off as "putting on a tough face while being scared" she's just annoying them for no reason.

• [L'amour D'amour Moonlight] - I think the dancing pretty nice in this song.
• [1:26:25] Forget Sailor Moon being the moon princess or HaruMichi having two Talismans. This is the biggest plot-twist in the franchise.
• Is every Musical gonna end w/ La Soldier. [no complaints here]

Overall
Much better production than the first [especially shown w/ the addition of strings], Kaolinite was a delight to see. I really enjoyed the funny moments [although I did notice the "fat jokes" which I personally don't mind but I'm sure someone out there will]. This one also leaves room for a sequel since they didn't defeat the Death Busters. The characters siding w/ did annoy me tho. Also, no & . I still really enjoyed it tho.

Favorite song: Probably "Super Beauty! Uranus and Neptune" . I could change my mind later but that one stood out to me the most.

• [1:11] - [Double Moon Romance] Helios has a soothing voice. Too bad he's stuck in an endless animation loop. [I think it's an interesting effect]

• [46:31] - [Triple Dream] - This song tricked me into thinking it would be slow and easy to follow.

• I feel like it would be interesting if for a high school job Usagi applied to a circus and ended up as a janitor then events similar to these started happening.

• [1:05:55] - [Remember Yourself] - There's something gay about this song between Ami and Usa also [1:07:20] THERE'S CONTINUITY IN THIS!!!
• They're going into Hotaru's dream. It's a trap.

• [1:18:20] - I'm not Japanese but that deliver felt powerful enough to [BLEEP].

• [1:23:32] - Tux's a lot more resilient than I expected. He did all that to reach out to Hotaru even at the cost of his life. I like that this action moved the Trio. I'll need to get back to this.
• [1:31:54] "ULTIMATE LEMURES!!!" [its basically an average PGSM youma]
• [1:32:30] - That actually kind of saddens me when I think about it.
• [1:24:35] MOON CRISIS MAKE UP!!!

Overall
I wasn't sure how I was feeling about this one in the first half but the second half actually gave me something to think about. For me it felt like Mamoru's actions had more significance in this than SuperS and Eternal. Like resisting Hotaru's wrath trying to reach out to her at the cost of his life and his sacrifice being a large push forward for driving the Amazon Trio to their redemption. It's just kinda weird he didn't seem very important at all in the first half of the musical. I noticed the Quartet didn't make an appearance at all. Helios barely appeared. Also, apparently there's continuity as "Remember Yourself" shows. I still like the applying to a circus idea and ending up as part of the cleanup crew and experiencing nightmares. Most of all I SERIOUSLY WASN'T EXPECTING THEM TO KEEP MAMORU DEAD [In a way he's Endymion now] how's Usagi and the others gonna deal w/ that the rest of their lives ]. I guess I'll need to watch the Kaitaban version for the plot changes ........ and it's also about 2 hours long again . Unexpectedly liked this one

• If the Amazon Trio were popular in several other countries, does that mean they killed people there so Pegasus can't hide in their Beutiful dream? ..... I'll just go with no.
• They never called the girl Hotaru. Even in the credits her name was just "Mysterious Girl"
• So is there just a time where Endymion is ruling things by himself waiting for to die so they can be together?
• This "Kaitaban" better be worth the [basically] 2 hours. I'm just gonna start splitting the reviews into double posts for the 2-hour ones [which I think is every other one]

Saturn Resurrection Chapter/ Saturn Fukkatsu Hen [Dream Soldier * Love * Into Eternity/ Yume Senshi * Ai * Eien ni Kaitaban version]

• I like how the audience claps along to the songs they recognize.

• [56:35] - It looked like she was struggling a bit.

• With this revision they gave "The good Girl is gone" and "Remember Yourself" some time to breath
• [1:08:55] - In this one directly states her the girls name is her old friend Hotaru
• [1:15:33] - This part felt mentionable.
• [1:28:27] - Saturn [To a Brand-New World] It has the same melody as "Miss Dream"! I think she also resurrected Mamoru... somehow.

• [1:31:39] - I SAW THAT!!! [Nehelenia's trying to scurry to a different part of the stage after killing SM]

I don't have much to add. Its happier since Mamoru's not dead and all the soldiers are united.

• [1:17] - [Chasin' After You] Gotta admit ... they're awesome. Weird, This is the first time I've found all 3 of them attractive.

Overview
This may be my favorite musical so far! Almost every song hit well for me, the villains weren't as unique to each other, but they all had plenty of charisma that made them a joy to see. Besides the Edo period part dragging a bit [just for me, the kids seemed to enjoy it a lot and since that's a large portion of their audience and demographic that's a good thing] it never felt like much of my time was being wasted. Like I said the Starlight we also seemed like a fun group to be around. And I love the concept of the girls/villains starting a band and going on a Ghostbusters hunt [I also liked that they included Hotaru for that part ] Most impressively THEY WHERE ABLE TO MAKE TAIKI ATTRACTIVE WTF!!! . I think I might have actually enjoyed this plot more than 90s anime Stars. Also, [If it doesn't Spoil Cosmos of which I'm waiting for] what was with that Black Galaxia [I think her name was "Buttress" or something?]

Should I see the revised version? is it gonna get deeper into Manga Stars spoilers?

Favorite song: I'm just gonna put "It's "Chuu" very bad" and "Sailor Busters."

Overview
I'm not sure if I'm in a different mood but I didn't enjoy this one as much as the original. I think they removed some of the jokes and the songs didn't sound exactly the same [I definitely notice in "It's "Chuu" very bad"] The cast still sings well; it just didn't feel as polished as the original [they probably weren't lip syncing as many times here ] Anyways there were still plenty of jokes here I liked and the structure made more since [I think ]. So that's nice.

Overview
I don't have much to add. I liked it. I was mostly interested in QB in this. Like I said its nice to see a different side to her. Princess Kaguya's singing voice is REALLY beautiful and all ... but man did they take long . I wish they made a new version of "La Soldier", I still listen to that song regularly but the main one I like is the very first one. [Thinking about it was that first clip them recording the song]. Also, I heard Luna and Artemis aren't coming back. That's not true is it!? [RIP SeraMyu & ]

I may need to go back to look for a favorite song.
