Already loving the music [La Soldier] - reminds me of "Soldiers of love" and "Moon Revenge"
Nice, there's a preview of them getting ready.

I thought Mamoru's actor was wearing a TMNT shirt. On second thoughts I think it's some green birds w/ shades.

So, the Dark Kingdom's coming back.
[Mystery Search] I have a good feeling about the music in this.

[1:02:14 - 1:07:12] Best fight. Whole Franchise. Zero Competition.
[1:14:03] - I don't know why but there's something comical about how huge that is.
[They basically redo Classic's ending]
They sing "La Soldier" but this time w/ more man-candy [I'm talking about Artemis]

Overall:
Really nice actually, though Usagi did kinda annoy me for most of the first half [not jabbing the actor, she did a spectacular job ]
"La Soldier" might as well be my favorite, I wonder what type of music that is [along w/ Moon revenge]. I didn't expect to love all the songs this much, a few of them, for some reason gave me a 50s/60s vibe or something like that. I also noticed there were at least 3 times when Beryl or someone said "As long as there's hatred/greed/etc in people's heart she will resurrect any number of times": SEQUAL BAIT!!!

Honorable Mention: "Secret of the Rose" and "Mystery Search".

Ok, your post inspired me to give it a go! I'm still watching PGSM and starting these.

I liked the musical! Loved the enthusiasm from the girls, the songs (the EDM rhythm at times), and seeing Naoko was cute. The downside was merely cosmetic with the worst thing being Usagi's wig...so many odd layers and it almost looked like dreadlocks at the end. Her costume also seemed more like Zoisite's "imposter Sailor Moon look," as it was blue and purple, instead of blue and red.

Love the quotes about kindness, and some of the writing. Also, love the group poses, as well as small verbatim lines from the anime.

Interesting to note Anza Ohyama (Usagi) went on to have songs in the anime (along with others from the cast) and be the lead singer of a Japanese metal band, Head Phones President. She also has a song in sailor moon eternal.

Neptune and Uranus were done well. Chibiusa was very cute.

I agree, the wigs have improved...thou Moon and Venus aren't very appealing in color, most of the others look good. Also, noted about the fat jokes!

Plot critique: It's rather poor that Ami would leave the airport and tell everyone except for Usagi. The flying was cool, until it was overdone. Tomoe as a comic relief? Idk. I'm also not sure what timeframe this is supposed to be taking place within… or if it is totally separate from the anime? If it flows with the anime, is it the death busters before they started making the witches five (Which could explain some of the new mini-villains). I like seeing the SM universe expanded with the musicals.

Cosmetic critique: Sailor Jupiter seems to be the most visually similar to her anime counterpart! Usagi's outfits continue to be oddly incorrect...including her gold princess dress, which may actually be worse than the first musical's Usagi wig.

Glad you liked them. My favourites are those that dare tell new stories. Eien Densetsu is one of the best. The Dracul arc & Kaguya island are great as well. I hope Nelke & PNP, in collaboration with Bandai, decide to produce remakes of those musicals. ::love::

It's also brilliant how the writers came with such stories just from a single panel of the manga. Magic! ::love::

Overview:
It seems like a mixture of the manga and 90s anime. It has the more sympathetic side of the Black Moon Clan of the 90s while following the Manga's general plot beats. It thankfully never felt too hard for me to keep track of what's going on. I kind of wish Pluto felt more important throughout. Seeing this it actually goes really well with a fake timeline I've been making for Sera Myu. I can't believe they killed those two girls like that.

Favorite Song: I think I have to go with "The Night is not born with these Palpitations"

Overview:
I still think this musicals very enjoyable. I thought the Spectre sisters were more entertaining here. Especially liked Petz and Calaveras and her weird ...... thing she and Minako had going on :minako:

2002 Spring – 10th Anniversary Festival – Ai no Sanctuary/Sanctuary of love

[9:12] - [Dark Sirius Arm] - Redo of Star Hinter. Sounds like they're singing that "Money, money, money moooooney" song - It's not the same without Sailor Buttresses' screaming.
That male villain reminds me of PGSM Kunzite
Everyone's watching some type of wrestling match show.
[19:00] -Random backstory stuff
[19:17] - What's the referee doing?
[20:50] - That's a bit worrying - also I can tell that guy is wearing Tiger eye's pants
[25:50] - Minako's definitely on drugs.
[29:16] - Usagi tries to do an epic backflip or cartwheel.
I guess the Silver Crystal used to belong to these antagonists and they lost it somehow. Sounds like it used to be a star or something.
For plot mentioning - Chibiusa got kidnaped because [she also has a Silver Crystal]. Pluto gave her a key though
[41:36] - ["Resurrection is the Herald of Tragedy"] - Chibiusa's singing here actually caught me off guard [in a good way]
Later at [47:14] - the others are kidnapped except for . Never seen this team up before.
[57:58] - OMG HE'S DEMAND!!! I kept thinking this WHOLE musical "Wait a second That guy looks exactly like Demand" I subconcously called it! Didn't think he'd relate to this plot in any way, but I guess he does!
Demand helps them kill the other antagonists.
[1:00:09] - Is he talking about the Main male antagonist or the body he in
[1:01:19] - [Over the Moon]
[1:04:43] - That's not good
[1:08:55] - Jaguar Mask is so cool and mysterious! He didn't even say Farewell!

I pretty much stopped here.

Overview:
Surprised it was pretty short when I saw the run time. The villains were kind of generic and personality less, but all the main characters and Demand were nice and entertaining to see. I seriously wasn't expecting Demand to make a return even though I could tell that guy looked exactly like him. I might be miss remembering but the concept of the Silver Crystal originally belonging to some other "evil" group sounds kind of interesting. Again, I might be miss remembering. I may have to go back and see the rest of this some other time.

[11:41] - So Mamoru is in KO university medical school.
[13:23] - This is the first time I've seen someone acknowledge that Mamoru's name means to protect in Japanese.

That other guy's giving off Tuxedo Umino vibes.

Overview:
This one is probably one of my absolute favorites when I saw the beginning. Although since it follows the manga's infinity arc just like with that It felt like things were getting a bit cluttered with focus especially with the added Avian alien family. Although I still enjoyed the family anyways. Shintarou kind of reminds me of Umino especially when he dressed up and tried to help with the monster. Make me wonder if someone wants to do something like that with him. I have a bad feeling about that fake timeline with this one. ^_^'

So Usagi's past incarnation is a guy and it looks like he even gets a bromance with Mamoru. INTERESTING
The Labyrinth reminds me of the Nehelenia arc.
Uranus and Neptune certainly have an interesting connection.
Usagi's finally reached her breaking point [of being not angry I mean]

[1:33:49] - They finally acknowledged Usagi's Disco transformation as dancing music!

Overview
This may be my favorite musical so far! Almost every song hit well for me, the villains weren't as unique to each other, but they all had plenty of charisma that made them a joy to see. Besides the Edo period part dragging a bit [just for me, the kids seemed to enjoy it a lot and since that's a large portion of their audience and demographic that's a good thing] it never felt like much of my time was being wasted. Like I said the Starlight we also seemed like a fun group to be around. And I love the concept of the girls/villains starting a band and going on a Ghostbusters hunt [I also liked that they included Hotaru for that part :hotaru:

] Most impressively THEY WHERE ABLE TO MAKE TAIKI ATTRACTIVE WTF!!!. I think I might have actually enjoyed this plot more than 90s anime Stars. Also, [If it doesn't Spoil Cosmos of which I'm waiting for] what was with that Black Galaxia [I think her name was "Buttress" or something?]

Should I see the revised version? is it gonna get deeper into Manga Stars spoilers?

Favorite song: I'm just gonna put "It's "Chuu" very bad" and "Sailor Busters."

That's my favorite musical just because of the "I'm stairs" scene (or was that in a different one)

Dream Musical: I think I like the production of the original more but either one is fine. The Kaiteiban has a happier ending, but the original has one I didn't expect.

Sailor Stars: This is probably my favorite one. Although the only one where I like the original over the Kaiteiban.

Eien Densetsu [Kaiteiban]: Highly recommend it like the Stars Musical.

Black Lady and Princess Kaguya [2 separate musicals]: I vividly remember telling myself that they seemed nice to watch in standalone [you can probably say that about any of them though except for]

The Dracula Myus: It's a 3-parter with Sailor Moon and Dracula.... What's not to like?

Also, If you're feeling a little quirky, you can watch them in this order
[Dark Kingdom - Black Lady [R] - Kaguya Island - Dracul #1 - Yume [Supers] - Dracul #2 & 3 - Either Stars OR Eien Densetsu [The starlights are looking for Kakyuu in both]

My recommendation: Sailor Moon SuperS (Kaiteban) & Sailor Stars Eien Dentsetsu Kaiteban, especially the last date, so emotional. Even though Bandai era look like campy, it had the best songs & music, and it had that vibe Sailor Moon is/was so recognisable by. In my opinion, those two musicals I've mentioned are the best of that era.

The Nelke era has better staging, costumes, effects, but the songs can be boring at times and the musicals of such era don't have that vibe. However, I like them and they're good retelling of the 5 main arcs. The director and producer of these musicals (those from 2013 to 2017) is the same person who directed and produced the first musicals of Bandai era (S, SuperS, Stars and Eien Densetsu, and their respective Kaitebans).
