I'd love to see the Senshi fight with guns and real weapons in the new remake. Think of how badass that'd be?! Usagi and the Senshi actually hardcore fighting and shooting the enemies to smithereens. :D

They could fight bayonetta style,

imagine the anime where they beat up the enemies and then when its time for the climax they bring out the big guns and use their energy powers

I always thought it would be cool if the Inners had actual physical weapons. :rei: shooting an actual bow would be awsome. Other than that I'd leave the guns to Tomb Raider Lara Croft.

Equip them with missile launchers and watch the fireworks.
(ever since pistols are only a combat value x 2 damage, but heavy machine guns and explosives deal Combat Value x 3-6 damage)

Hey, how about a multiple-warhead ICBM which can wipe out many millions of people across a pretty wide geographical area, & is quite tricky to intercept - I think that's more damaging?

The game refers to man-portable equipment... standard unguided missiles of short reach. With possibly varying warheads (also don't count on Serena carrying multiple five-kilo backup missiles.

That doesn't make your suggestions anymore relevant than my ICBM one above (I intentionally used that as an example to stress the irrelevance/nonsense) for a magical girl show, which's teh game.

All right I went a bit overboard with the rockets. I should have suggested Mamoru to wield one. The thing is that when I read about damage values for armed combat in the Sailor Moon Rpg book, It explicitly stated heavy machine guns and explosives, which is apparently Wiseman's big weakness!
And let us not forget about Usagi /w chaingun in the Mamoru is useless topic :)

On-topic: Guns would be interesting, but mainly by allowing the non-sailor cast to shine and do something other than fall victim of the current villain's machinations, allowing the plot to take different turns, and the conflict to escalate beyond Tokyo even with the main heroes stationed there.

Also Wiseman has no defense vs C4 :)

I think a gun would suit Sailor V better.
Her element is metal
All the more fitting. Metal is the element closes to technology, which is what guns are. ;)
