^ [Re: The former pic] It looks good in an overall impression at a glance, but when you look at the details, problems will come up - at present AI is still not sophisticated enough & don't "think" & approach tasks like humans. lol [Re: The latter pic] I like your drawings - so cute! =^_^=

I feel that the works drawn by AI are beautiful, but they do not touch my heart because they do not have human blood in them
How can you detect "human blood" in an artwork? Or if you dunno an artwork is AI-generated beforehand, how can you tell the absence of its "human blood"? :)

there is a lot of really good AI-generated Sailor Moon art on YouTube and Reddit and the pages of Google but they all don’t really look like the anime or manga… they usually look more like realistically styled people, and like an oil-painting or very detailed procreate file.

i stumbled on some Thetis art on a sailor moon image dump fansite, which kind of/almost/sort of looks like to came from the show, and I appreciate that more than these high res paintings myself. (Not sure why the image insert button isn’t working on the forum when I tried uploading these individually.)
Interesting that the AI didn’t necessarily have a problem with her hands or fingers, but couldn’t determine her necklace.

The AI-generated image I uploaded looks professional, but the details are strange.
For example, earrings and lips are blurred or angular.
The moon is also distorted. I feel like a professional human illustrator would never make a mistake like this.
Ah,I think this Sailor Jupiter looks like she can't blink.

Signed up at getimg.ai today, and used up all my free credits generating images of lolis in swimsuits. Apart from typical AI problems with hands, everything else looks very good. And it looks like they use regular Stable Diffusion as their engine. I should figure out how to properly configure this thing offline. I need more lolis in swimsuits. :purpleghost:

I ran out of free credits before I could proceed to my Sailor Moon ideas, unfortunately. :O

I have mixed opinions of AI graphic art and Sailor Moon.

On one hand, I have seen some breathtakingly beautiful semi-realistic images generated.

On the other hand, none of it looks like a faithful recreation or even an enhancement of the Sailor Moon anime.

I'd be more interested in AI if it could convincingly animate Sailor Moon art already drawn in a similar Tadano-esque style. For instance if an artist were to create the keyframes and lineart and AI would do the rest (coloring, tween frames). I'd be interested if it could even reasonably imitate the style of the anime for original characters and I would pay an artist to clean it up (Note to artists: Instead of data-poisoning, there's a viable career path as an AI FIXER). But AI, while having immense potential...isn't quite there yet for mass consumption from a Sailor Moon fan perspective. When AI can draw my original characters in a 90's Sailor Moon style, then it would have my attention.

Okay, I finally figured out how offline Stable Diffusion works. The main point is that default model (which I tried to use at first) is pretty much useless - it can do a bit of everything, but in the end is not really good at anything in particular. So you need to download different base models for each specific task. Lora models should be applied on top of those base models for further fine-tuning, e.g., when you want to generate specific anime characters.
