These are nice. I use A.I. but for programming assistance because sometimes I am lazy. I am all for using it as a tool but not relying on it for everything.

I know that some A.I. does more than "borrow" because it is not a human and doesn't exactly incorporate these actions independently.

I don't think A.I. is terrible but inis worrying how I'm seeing people use A.I. to fake voices and lead people astray.

I love the A.I. art though some of it looks pretty. I'm still old school though so I do appreciate when a artist puts in brunt of the work instead of someone just doing text to image and then trying to copyright it.

Many posts ago I mentioned that A.I. could potentially take the animation industry to a new level in both good and bad ways.

But if AI is better than humans at anything wouldn't that distinguish them immediately?
That's why I said "I think they'll become indistinguishable from humans - perhaps only except that they're markedly smarter & better than humans in handling various tasks" in my post you quoted, but yeah, that can be ironical & even contradictory. lol

It will apparently be able to authenticate human interactions while possibly being able to answer "impossible" questions
In time, that may signal the end of scientific research & exploration by humans, & when looking back from some point in the future, the period of humans doing science may actually just be a very brief one in the history of science.

release a deadly neurotoxin whenever it pleases
That's why I've said that the scenario in Terminator is unlikely should the intelligent machines have finally made the decision to exterminate humans for w/e reasons - why bothering to produce those clumsy & very inefficient gun-wielding robots to do the job? lol

And it will be able to simulate human errors making it indistinguishable somehow.
Good point!

I can be inspired by AI disregarding the fact it can be better than any human hypothetically and I'll never be able to live up to something like that
At some point intelligent machines may become godlike entities to humans (if the latter still exist at the time), who just need/have to "believe" in w/e they say & decisions they make - in any case the reasons behind those can be far too complicated & beyond human comprehension.

All that's very impressive but at the end of the day it were humans who created SpongeBob and Sailor Moon so that's 2 points for humans, zero for AI

Sorry I'm getting more off topic but I'm just curious. What would happen if a bad solar flare hit. If what I remember is correct solar flares pose no direct harm to living creatures but can have a large impact on technology.

Of course the sun can always pull random bull from its WORLD ENDINGLY THICC bottom but isn't AI effected by that?

It happened in Canada which cause a black out. Nothing so far happened to computers. Microsoft still exists after all. Just don't know how it will affect mobile phones.

I live for this Mercury. It gives me 90s Tadano and a bit of Evangelion vibes. I love the colors, line-art and the metallic shine on her hair. This would be such a great character design for a future project.

^ Must be from a parallel universe where evolution has decided that the human hand is to have six fingers. lol Otherwise, yeah, it looks pretty good. :)

How much ownership do people have over the AI generated images? Is there any ownership over them?

Are you able to copyright prompts or anything?

I think questions like those are still being debated w/o definite answers yet. Maybe one day we'd have to give copyrights to AI (or w/e they're called by then) for their spontaneous works when they've been granted some, if not all, human rights. lol

Depends mostly on distribution platform, I think. A lot of people are selling commercial AI artwork on Etsy/Adobe/DA/etc. already. If, for instance, you just take somebody's AI art from Etsy and start selling it on Etsy as yours, it will be taken down due to copyright claim by original seller. So AI copyrights exist and are being enforced already.

Things that are not generated by a human are usually taken to be without copyright. The monkey selfie lawsuit clarified that. But legislation is changing, the EU Parliament just changed a law in the European Union and probably the Economic Area (Norway, Liechtenstein, and Iceland are part of that too) for dealing with AI issues.

That's because those AI works are actually generated w/ real human efforts & thinking, which at least can be claimed by the humans concerned, in the process of directing the generation of those results. lol
