What purpose do the tiaras serve?

I'd like to stimulate it physically/directly like using electric currents or enlarging its size greatly by genetic engineering on human embryos, & then see what'd happen! :twistedevil: (If not being able to be done IRL, doing that in a fiction or movie script would be the next best thing. :D )
I suggest that you proceed with caution. :D

As a kid, I always thought the most powerful sailor attack would habe been if all the 10 Sailors threw their tiaras and merge them together for destructive attack. (a bit like when Moon, Mars and Mercury were merging their attacks at the begining of the classic serie)

Speaking of that, particular gland or the third eye, if I'm not mistaken, doesn't Prince Demande use some sort of third eye ability for his control over others?
. The Senshi tiaras have to have some kind of purpose and several times throughout the '90s show the tiaras are seen glowing with energy. Whenever the sailor sent you are combining powers. I think it's a type of energy storing mechanism that you know outside of selling toys, which is obvious for most shows like this. The tiaras are a form of communication and connection to their planets or universal power of some sorts, at least to me they seem like that.

I can imagine they hold more purpose than just simple decorations.

Princesses need crowns, I guess.
I think they're definitely just an aesthetic foremost but it is interesting that the tiaras seem to be the focal point of when they power up in some instances (like in the R film or when Usagi fights Pharaoh 90) and yet they vanish when even more power is needed.
Maybe early on they needed them as a conduit or an enhancer but later it vanishes so they can release the power more directly.

The planetary symbols are right where the stone was and even though that was forgotten for a long time after, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter all had them when Luna recognized they were Sailors.

The tiaras are how the Moon Kingdom controlled its soldiers and how, in the current age, Central Command keeps track of them and prevents them from going rogue by suppressing the true power in each girl.Remember, Luna even had the ability to send a beam of energy directly into each girl's forehead to take back control and activate the soldiers.

Well, there something up with them...Moon Tiara Action, Moon Twilight Flash. The Inners Senshi haven't done attacks with their tiara, except for Jupiter of course which makes me believe they are more than accessories but hold some kind of power in the stone. Kinda like Sailor Moon odango barrettes that emit or amply sound waves and all that good stuff. The white ones are definitely cosmetic though.

This might be unique to the Solar System Senshi though with the power channeling through their tiaras.

Reminding me of the tiara (involuntarily) worn by the Monkey King aka Goku (on whom the lead character of Dragon Ball is based), which's a controlling device for his master to torture him whenever he disobeys him. lol
