This is something really small, but I think they should release that Sailor Moon S: Kotaete Moon Call! thing on future S movie DVD/Blu-ray releases. The R and SuperS movie both have OVAs leaving S's Movie by its lonesome. Plus, I'd think a trivia episode where you choose between 4 different answers would work well for a DVD game.

They also reused that Luna P floating sequence from the R Movie.

If TOEI believed that Sailor Moon was not profitable, then Crystal would have been kept in its original ONA format.

Just write new stories (seasons with no more than 12 episodes), mature stories, blend shoujo with seinen, and keep Tadano.

I really want to believe that there will be post Kotono Mitsuishi era of Sailor Moon anime, but who knows.

IMO, it would be for the best if new anime was its own thing like 90s series - take familiar characters, story, and concepts, but don't copy manga 1:1.

Develop villains, reimagine relationships, add new stuff, and yeah, have filler for girls to bond with each other.

Another reboot, I don't really see the point. If something has to be done, it needs a sequel with Sailor Cosmos, and the future. Because resuming Sailor Moon without Kotono will be funny to Japanese fans and others.

I would have liked a sequel to the 90's anime, but without the period cast, I'm not excited. And then the ending is clear, the balance is back, and Sailor Moon is not the center of the world.


Either an anime on Sailor V, or a sequel with Sailor Cosmos.

Since the work only revolves around Usagi / Princess Serenity, I don't think Naoko will tell a story about another character.

Although I make jokes about the Chibi Moon sequel (as I have during Eternal) I still strongly believe Sailor Moon needs a new story if it is going to continue. It probably will go dormant "anime wise" since they can never compromise on anything. Toei owns Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon Crystal belongs to Naoko.

So if Toei thinks it's profitable then they would continue...however, if they aren't allowed to create anything new or it's under strict control then what's the point of investing in it?
