It's been exactly one year since I've watched it. Planning to rewatch it today.

I don't know why this show hasn't had a Blu Ray edition yet. I guess... Maybe because it was filmed with standard resolution cameras? At least PNP/Toei should consider the international licence for an official sub version.

This show deserves to be in streaming/the fans shelves. It gives us what the classic anime and the manga left in the cutting room.

Don't worry, they haven't seen it yet. Once they do, you know it will be their new favorite. How could it not be?

This year would have been the perfect time right after Cosmos to have announced a new version in this style.
I would love the old one with subs on Blu Ray, but I'd also love a new version with this kind of care in story.
I think I could sit through the DK arc yet again if they did a new PGSM.

Wow I did NOT expect to see Mistare Fusion here. Excellent channel though I have fallen off in the last couple years. I thank you for advertising this vid better than YouTube

Honestly, I think PGSM was one of Naoko’s dreams, she seems to love live actions and live theatre, but PGSM wasn’t embraced by fans back in the day—not in Japan and especially not in the West.

I remember people insulting me because I dared to say that Rei’s depiction in PGSM was magnificent and closer to the manga.

I think the plot was very well written, most of the cast are good.

But the overall costume and special effect sucks.

Also Nephrite and Luna's characterization was meh.

Yeah in the material book he was written as a hothead, but the old anime wrote him so nicely.

Could you give us the exact time in that clip where it appears? :)

I think I linked this brief WikiMoon article about that sole writer for the entire series here in the past, but lemme do it again here:

Yasuko Kobayashi - WikiMoon

The characterizations of all the Shitennou in PGSM are totally different from those in the 90s anime. lol
