Why You'll Love Live-Action Sailor Moon

I'm surprise that there haven't really been more efforts made to create live action magical girls shows.

In the west? Netflix Winx Club was terrible and Powerpuff Girls by Diablo Cody got cancelled even before airing, so...

Fate: The Winx Saga? I didn't watch it because they ruined what made the source material great, such as the friendship between Bloom and Stella. Stella was the first fairy Bloom befriends, it did not make sense that Fate had them competing for a guy's affection.

I swear the show was written by trolls. 2 's with the other one being so obsessed of and ended up being the final anti-villain. And the true final ending having the shittenou ended up being the guardians of the solar system.

I still love the show despite some crackpot ideas to the plot.

I always think the Final Act is rushed & might actually be cut from two episodes, hence missing some vital info from the original script. (I suspect the show should've had 50 episodes instead of 49, if there weren't a special sports (?) program occupying its time slot, forcing it to have a hiatus for one week.)

Minako had the worst arc. They completely ruined the character for me.

I think they were trying to adapt multiple arcs of the manga & 90’s anime.:

(1) Minako and Rei essentially became Michiru and Haruka (S)

(2) Mamoru is Sailor Galaxia and tried to seal Chaos (Stars)

(3) I like the idea of Usagi as the villain, but Mio has more depth as a villain than Usagi.

I am glad that PGSM exists and makes people happy, but at the end of the day it really isn’t my cup of tea.

Just like Sailor Galaxia tries to seal Chaos in the 90’s anime, Mamoru tries to seal Metaria inside of him and looks possessed and evil.

I didn’t watch the episode, but that is my understanding.

Yeah, it’s one of the final episodes, I think. It is a live action “Sailor Moon” series. I don’t like it, but many people do.

Princess Sailor Moon = Chibi Chibi/Cosmos, TOEI also reused some of their initial plans with Takeuchi for Stars in PGSM.

Naoko and TOEI were both originally planning for Sailor Cosmos to appear alongside Kakyuu in the anime and manga but that plot was reused for Princess Sailor Moon.

The show: i absolutely adore it

It does some really interesting things. It tries out some new directions. I love what it did with the Shitennou especially. I heart a bad guy dramatically playing piano.

Also anytime I really need to push myself to do something uncomfortable or painful and I'm struggling, I think of Usagi ghoing "London London London London". Gets me thru

It's too bad we never got PGSM versions of other characters or it never got further than the Dark Kingdom arc.

I'd love to see what a PGSM version of Sailor Uranus and Neptune would be like; same with a PGSM Prince Demande and a PGSM Galaxia.
