when they look into your dream mirror the amazons will see this new series but in reality it'll just be dark kingdom retold again in another format lol
Dark Kingdom but on another planet and without the Senshi reincarnating like the Sol Senshi.

Why would she? She has enough money so her 10x grand kids live comfortably without working...
Because artists need to create regardless of the money! (says a guy who hasn't drawn in like two years...)

These things are so hard to predict. Ten years ago, no one could have predicted the movie Sailor Moon Cosmos would exist...yet here we are.

Look, if Toei runs the numbers and finds themselves in the green with Sailor Moon, we will probably see something in the future. Like any IP, it requires frequent reinvestment to generate revenue. They'll probably take a break for a few years to recoup the production costs of the entire Sailor Moon Crystal reboot.

After that, I think the best route for Toei would be to license the Sailor Moon IP to a streaming giant like Netflix. That way Toei can continue to earn money from Sailor Moon, while Netflix shoulders the cost of production (whether it be anime, or live action.) The IP clearly still has value, so they'll figure a way forward. Naoko also got the movies she wanted, so might even be open to the idea.

Horrifying!
Exactly! A true artist does need to create. Precisely artists are the happiest people in the world when they're creating, even if those pieces of art are private. Also a true artist is constantly learning. Money is not a priority. We are living in a world where many 'artists' make art just for recognition, likes in social media and wealth.

Just saying. :mischief:

Creating a new Sailor Soldier for someone else's project like Sailor Luna from PGSM? Possible.
Actually write a new manga? Even a one-shot? Now way! She's too lazy demotivated to do that.
Even if she wasn't lazy she'll be too busy with Hunter X Hunter that will take another 3 decades to finish. She's stuck with an informal contract.

Being an artist isn’t for everyone… if you have it in you, chances are that you are on anti-depressants and/or feel pretty sad and miserable already. And if you pursue it and let it consume you, you could end up like Kandinsky, penniless, or institutionalized like poor Camille Claudel.

And what for?

Just so that the wealthy can collect your work… because great pieces of art admittedly can outperform the S&P500. :booze:

Toei, Toei Animation Establish New Flare Creators Company

"Flare Creators will take the initiative in IP management by actively working on production and pre-production. It will also cooperate with partners. In addition, the company will promote the adaptation of manga and novels into films, as well as rebrand plans for existing IPs."

Hopefully Cosmos movies aren't the last we see of Sailor Moon anime.

I'm in my "Dark Night of the Soul" as far as art goes. I was never very good, but I was happy creating. When I started doing commissions and worrying about getting eyes on me, it made me miserable. I used to draw just to draw, write poetry just for me and create stories just to have a world to live inside my imagination...One day I think I'll get back there.

It makes me kind of sad. I'm sure it happened to Naoko on a much larger scale.

I would want in this series for the planet of the New Senshi to have statues of the Solar System Senshi and Cosmos in the background, remembering Cosmos as the hero of the Galaxy.

Animal Senshi, Mau, Chuu, Coronis, Cocoon, and Mermaid.

They can be Cosmos' new assistants.
Sounds like another sentai show themed on animals, w/ Cosmos as the white member. lol Heh, now I think that could even work - an all-female sentai sounds novel & fresh (PGSM doesn't count as an orthodox sentai show) - if only Takeuchi would let that happen, of course. lol

Yes. Now, I wonder which format is the most engaging to Japanese women.
A Takarazuka version of Sailor Moon? lol

I suppose I am good.

As a practitioner, I have a proven sales record and I used to manage an IG account with over 10,000 followers. But then covid happened and I felt depressed and deliberately deleted my IG. :grey:

Now I am a collector. I am discovering that it’s much easier and practical to sell other people’s works than your own.

I would love to work exclusively as an art dealer or as a curator. Maybe someday.

So now you can see things in the art circle from "God's angle," like what Takeuchi recently claimed to be in an interview.

It will be a mix of Tokyo Mew Mew and Sailor Moon, Sailor Cosmos is the new leader without an animal form.
