Starting from Season 4, I had stepped away from the production, but before Season 5 began, I was asked for my opinions on transformation costumes and dug up the costume designs I had come up with. In terms of the production timeline, this would be about 28 years ago, wouldn’t it? My role was more of an observer, so naturally, none of my proposals were fully adopted. This is the draft TYPE1.

5th Season: New Costume Proposal TYPE2. Since TYPE1 was a version without a chest ribbon, I added one here.

New Costume Proposal TYPE3. It feels like a culmination after TYPE1&2. Among the three proposals, I personally liked this TYPE3 the most, so it’s the recommended choice.

For the new costume proposal TYPE3, I made it look like an official illustration with an image sketch. Since it felt like the character was just standing there with nothing to do visually, and because I wanted to draw it for the illustration, I had her hold a new long-sized rod. The character is colored with markers, and the background is painted by tapping with marker ink. In later years, I redesigned the details and redrew it.

The Enchantix literally look like they came out of his idea.

I think that a combination between the first and last one would have had been the definite option, i like how the bottom wings end up mixing with the skirt in the first one, and the wings look better being simple as in the first version too ,but i also liked the last one due to the top part , it looks like the pink ribbons of her transformation ended staying up on the costume., but the high heels really doesnt fit to , so i stay with the boots and the skirt of the first version

Neat. Way too much going on visually for the team to adopt, I reckon, but cool to see what could have been. Not a big fan of the design but it might have made a neat form for NQS if she regained her senshi ability post-ascension.

I don’t love it to be honest. I’ve always felt like this design had too many elements/ strayed too far from the sailor uniform look.

I will say that he draws Usagi beautifully.

TYPE1 is the only one that doesn't look too risqué or porny, because of the shoulder pads.
Fukano Moon looks too much like some burlesque dancer for my taste.

I can imagine a alternative timeline where Fukano's designs got approved and to be fair i think it'd sell very well and maybe sailor moon probably would get another season

The only way it could happen is if Naoko and TOEI decide to separate ways before Sailor Stars is aired.

The average Sailor uniform already has some sort of sex appeal, but Fukano took It to the next level.

It looks too over the top but if I had to pick one it would be Type 1 cause it looks like something live action would wear in PGSM. Get rid of those wings and just go with her SuperS back ribbon.
