Get rid of those wings and just go with her SuperS back ribbon.
Yeah, those "wings" look even more ridiculous than ESM's, especially in the way they attach to her costume. :wtf:

All those designs have a common problem: the lack of the sailor collar, which should be a staple feature in any Senshi costumes.

I thought you were my friend on despising those plastic wings!!!

He kinda merged the collar and front bow into one

While the design definitely needs some touch-ups - it seems to be stuck between trying to be child-friendly and truly adult regal-like - namely on the translucent sleeves on the shoes that I'll exchange for dangling cloth pieces or the short back skirt.
I preferred the original long back bow he did but the skirt is not a bad idea either, it's just too small and distracting for me.
A longer layered one like for the Princess Cure would work better in my opinion.

Love the crown and the long rod scepter

It's definitely better than the dreadful Eternal fuku and I'm glad Fukano kept the breast plate and the layer (in this case, double layer) around the waist to connect the skirt.
The Eternal fuku removes all of this, which in turn makes it look like a cheap one-piece swimsuit with glued shoulder pads and a sewed skirt made from a children school play costume :P

I'd definitely see this kind of design as a special upgrade at the end of a movie back in the 90s.
Perhaps in that rejected version of the SuperS movie in which Usagi takes a form like this in the finale and launches a badass attack.

Now, Fukano release that mysterious concept version of SuperS Moon!

My take on Fukano's scrapped Eternal Sailor Moon Fuku in pixel art form.

Like Naoko's original design it looks too cluttered.
Ditched those horrible wings and gave it that SuperS back bow.

Edit: Not a fan of those bands on those boots. I should've edited that too. ^_^'

But yeah, it looks like a cross between Super :usagi: and Princess Psychotic PGSM :usagi:.

I imagine Bandai/Toei wanted to change the entire design because it wouldn't be ' acceptable ' for Sera Myu and not toy-like enough like the actual Eternal SM.

I really love the third design, the one we've actually known all these years, but I get it also would've been difficult to be animated.

I didn’t think there could be anything I liked less than the Eternal fuku (which, to be fair, kinda grew on me in the end), but… here we are. These ones just feel way too burlesque and borderline porn-y. It’s like, completely off from the whole Sailor fuku vibe, and the pieces don’t even seem to connect design-wise.

I really don't know what y'all mean by the outfit looking "porny." It's ugly (imo) and form fitting, but the silhouette of the skirt and bodice are nearly identical to the senshi outfits. It looks like a tacky figure skating costume to me.

Like... What the heck kind of porn are you watching, lol.
I reckon they think exactly the same every time they see the Starlights, some Animamates, some of the villains and monsters of the week appear on the screen. They even surely think Wedding Peach is also ' porny '.

Sailor Cosmos is porny as well, but..... that character is created by Naoko, so it's the best DEMURE CHARACTER EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, you know from the 3rd arc on, the manga tends to be actually a satire of a manga which wants to be a yuri but is too bashful to try to do it, especially with that ending which implied all of the girls are in a relationship with one another and are also Usagi's concubines and that Mamoru is their husband - if that isn't 'porny', I don't know what, so Fukano's design is in the spirit of the message of the manga?

Exactly. The Sailor Animamates have porny outfits (Aluminum Siren being the worst ofender). But other than the Starlights, your average heroine Sailor fuku doesn't show more than the legs.
Fukano Moon just doesn't feel appropriate for a inner/outer senshi fuku. It's too revealing.

Well, blame me for being a filthy male and loving the design but seriously I don't understand how this is 'too revealing'.

Mars, Venus and Neptune all wear heeled shoes so it's not like her legs/thighs are exposed, the skirt is the same length as your typical Sailor mini-skirt, she has longer gloves than usual, her chest plate is adorned with those moon and beads decorations than cover most of her chest (her cleavage is not even showing) - it's not like she's suddenly gotten the breasts of the Cat's Eyes.

The only thing 'exposed' are her shoulders and the translucent bow-collar covers it.

Like some people call this risqué, - showing shoulders are 'risqué'? I guess in some countries of the world.

I don't understand the criticism either. As you've said, the skirt is the same length as always, a lot of other Sailors wear heels, and Neo Queen Serenity has her shoulders bare too.

I get people not loving them for being too ornate or cluttered for their taste, but not for being too sexy. Personally, I find all of Fukano's proposed designs much more elegant, chic, and mature than Etenal's final look.

One could argue that getting rid of the sailor collar makes this version more appropriate, since sailor fuku are generally only worn by kids at school or cosplayers. (I know it's a core element of senshi outfits in the universe, work with me)

Putting ESM or even NQS in this outfit seems *less* pervy in a sense, as the normal ESM fuku maintains the core "this is themed off a kid's outfit" elements while changing the leotard part to a super thin form-showing material.

Fukano has said Sailor Moon fans have been sending him hate on Twitter over his Eternal prototypes. What's wrong with these people?

As always, I'm not asking for opinions on the attached content, but I don't mind if you have thoughts like "I don't like that picture," "I don't like that design," "I'm glad it didn't end up like that," "I don't like the production process," etc., but I wonder if it's really appropriate to write those thoughts to me directly.
