I actually like SuperS. It can stand to lose an episode here and there; mainly the ones that only focus on Usagi and Chibiusa, but its got plenty of golden episodes. I also really like the villains here.

Stars on the other-hand bores me. I didn't like the Starlights at all; it felt like I was watching a trio of Mamoru/Michiru/Haruka without any of the likeability. Not to mention I actually prefer Chibiusa over Chibi Chibi mainly because the former has more personality than just saying her name over and over again.

I must say I liked Mio as well. Although I am kind of curious where Beryl ends and she begins.
It's funny that they did appear together in one scene in the Dark Kingdom, but yeah, they've never fully elaborated on the relationship between the two, which always feels vague.

Yeah, the most we got was with one of the Shitennou (forgot which one ^_^' ) calling her Beryl's "shadow".

I agree completely with Lantis on these two statements:
"The first season of the anime is better than the first arc of the manga."
"That said, the animated version of Rei is just wrong."

I really felt the first season of the animation was the BEST season. The manga is just hectic and helter-skelter for a while (although I do still enjoy it and prefer many of the plot elements).
I hate Rei's animated form. She's no longer mysterious or elegant, or even that complicated. She's just a shallow hypocrite.

I love ChibiUsa
Sailor Moon R (the animation, not the comic) bores me to tears.
I don't like Sailor Luna. At the very least she should have had "normal" hair and no tail when in her "civilian" form (when not in her Sailor form). Way too much purple going on there.
There should not have been a relationship between any of the shitennou to begin with.
Despite being annoyed at the major plot changes, I found Stars (animation) to be very entertaining.
I hate the "wolf howl" in La Soldier. I'm glad they omitted it with the recent CD release.
In terms of merchandise, I really don't like the wand pointers that have been so extremely popular. They're kind of fugly, cheap-looking, and pointless.
I'm absolutely OK if the starlights never show up on any new merchandise.
Naoko Takeuchi is not God. But she did create a great series (that I love very much!)

Here's a really unpopular opinion:
I wish the anime had never been dubbed in English. I know it must've made Naoko a lot of money, but either than that I'm seriously so sick of a whole generation of English speaking fans who think that Usagi is stupid and selfish, Rei is such a WOMBAT/hypocrite and Chibi-Usa/Rini is such a brat or whatever else.
Seriously, to get perspective, it would be like if Avatar was dubbed in a different language except the characters are awful to each other, dialogue is replaced by cheesy slang, and any emotional parts that are deemed too violent (like the finale of Classic) are botched and completely edited.

I hate Umino and Naru as a couple. I know that she couldn't just sit there and wallow in her sadness over Nephrite, but I think Naru deserves muuuuuuch better than Umino.

Also, I love Zoisite as either a male or female. I know that he originally isn't, which makes it incredibly disrespectful and wrong for that interpretation to exist, but the english dub's interpretation is still spot on with his/her personality and the relationship with Kunzite.

See I don't think that Zoisite's personality is the same at all in the dub. In the original he had the personality of a haughty prince where as the dub counterpart had the personality of a vixen.

S was the best season in the entire anime.

SuperS was decent and would have been best if the anime ended there.

Episodes 167-172 were the only episodes in Sailor Stars that were good. 173-200 I call the Dragon Ball GT/Saint Seiya Omega (season 2) of the Sailor Moon anime because they sucked for the most part.

The R movie was excellent, the S movie was crap (never cared for Luna) & the SuperS movie was decent.

Still like the first season but PGSM was better than that.

As much as I like Kunihiko Ikuhara as a director, his handling of the second half of R was pretty weak*

*-Might be more of a popular opinion judging by previous posts & threads on here

I think a lot of people here are confusing the word "unpopular" with "popular" since I'm seeing a lot of listed opinions that are shared by the general masses rather than exclusive to a niche minority (which is what the title of this thread seems to be asking for).

Can you really blame them for that? P-:

I liked Luna's older "Mary Poppins" voice in the dub, and think in the context of her being Usagi's mentor (of sorts) it makes more sense.
