I actually like Eternal Sailor Moon's outfit. Gumball shoulders and all [I usually hear ppl say its hideous especially the gumball shoulders]
I really like the Eternal outfit(s), they convey the idea of a power-up well enough. To me, their design suffers from the 90s anime coloring, the gumball shoulders look off because they're solid and the color scheme of Eternal Sailor Moon looks a bit gaudy. They work better with see-through gumball shoulders and the softer colors of the manga. I think the Eternal movie made them look cool.

“Stars” is an underrated manga arc.
Absolutely.

2. Naoko sexualized the senshi and their friends more than the 90's anime did.
Remember this scene right here? :P

Tbh I don’t really think the 90’s anime sexualized the Senshi at all besides Chibi-Usa - which is disturbing in and of itself.

Anyways another unpopular opinion I just thought of that’s more fandom specific:

I think some of the seasons/arcs of Sailor Moon don’t lend themselves well to a mixing of 90’s anime and manga canon in fanworks/fanfiction and I generally disilike when fancreators do this. For some arcs the mix is generally seamless and natural such as Classic/Dark Kingdom because there’s nothing in either canon that so drastically contradicts the other - But in all the rest it just doesn’t make sense.

For example in R the BMC were meant to come off as sympathetic non-humans born with their powers and on the planet Nemesis that their indigenous Earthling ancestors were banished to generations ago due to being victims of discrimination/prejudice - How exactly are you gonna square that away with their manga canon versions who are a religious, psychotic death cult of regular humans with powers given to them by Wiseman born and bred on Earth who simply don’t like the newfound longevity NQS bestowed upon humanity? Those backgrounds directly contradict each other, as do the Ayakashi Sisters fates in both. (Furthermore how are you gonna try to redeem or make sympathetic someone who literally burns a kid to death?)

In S/Infinity how are you going to mix Tomoe being a sympathetic, loving father who simply got possessed and ends up surviving with a mad-scientist maniac with a God Complex who chose to sell out and experiment on his daughter?

How in the world do you mix SuperS with Dream and both Stars canon considering everything contradicting the Golden Crystal, Nehellenia, Galaxia and Chibi-Chibi?

Unless it’s Classic/Dark Kingdom or they’re only mixing light elements with the fanworks still clearly leaning one way or the other - I think it’s better if fic writers just stick to one version for fics set in any of the other seasons/arcs for a more cohesive whole.

Yeah, I totally hated that short story back in the day and I still do. It was pointless as well as perverted.
I know she wanted to make some fun stories but how did she ever think, even in Japan, that this page was appropriate? I'm not quite sure what his hand motions mean, I seem to remember thinking he was embarrassed back in the Mixx days, and left because he was put off, but after multiple other translations it's very clear he was being a perv. Had they been at least teens around Usagi's age I could shrug it off but they are extremely blatant in stating they're elementary age. So gross. That's one short that doesn't need a 1:1 adaptation, lol.

The circular bubbles from left to right: the O mark, the "two" sign, & "pan" (short for "panties").
Note that manga is supposed to be read from right to left. Also, that "pan" is similar to the sound of clapping the hands together, which's what Tux is doing in that panel. Before clapping his hands, the posture of his left arm & hand shows that he's looking at something attentively.

Maybe someone should call in Sailor Chris Hansen!
Such a Senshi should be called Sailor Sting, & her civilian name is to be Christine Hansen. She'd look about the same age as Chibiusa & her story would be about how she'd catch Tux, among other predators. :)
