• I don't mind 90s Chibiusa or PGSM's Sailor Luna.
• I enjoyed Eternal part 1 more than part 2 [as of now]
• I actually like Tuxedo Mask's presence and don't think he's useless.
• SuperS's isn't a godawful season./ Possibly most of my opinions on SuperS.
• I don't think Mako's sad song sequence is terrible.
• Ando isn't my least favorite art director, and I actually liked how his episodes looked for the first two seasons.
• The SuperS movie is fine.
• I really like Sandy Fox as Chibiusa. That's Chibiusa's voice for me.
• Tracey Hawt's Chibiusa was fine.
• I can tell the difference between the Viz voice actors most of the time. It's just the background characters that sound really same-ish to me
• The Optimum dub is pretty good. It made plenty of episodes I didn't care for in the original more entertaining.
• Viz did S and SuperS very well.
• I really like Viz's Ami.
• That over "9000 thousand" joke in ViZ can still work as an exaggerated rumor out of context.
• Linda Ballentyne's voice doesn't bother me.

1.I like idea SxS , I don't think it is bad idea .I hope we can get an adaption.Thay can get right one day.

2.The dic dub was not that bad and it did not deserved as much of the hostility it has gotten

I prefer Crystal the 90s anime. The 90s anime has very strong moments that far surpass almost anything in Crystal, but that's the thing, they're moments and you need to wade through a sea of repetitive monster-of-the-day with cute but samey interactions over and over to get to them. Crystal is more direct, faster, more consistent, and pays more attention to the lore, and that's what I like the most in Sailor Moon.

This might be the hottest of them all and I know I might be the only one who thinks this, but I think S is overrated. People always talk about how it's dark and mature and all that and yes, it has dark and mature moments but most of the season has the same usual cute adventures from every other season, only now with what feels like the goofiest monsters of the day they could come up with. I think Classic and R were darker.

While I like Infinity, it's also my least favorite arc compared to the rest because its villains feel too disconnected from the series lore. Dark Kingdom explores the past, Black Moon the future, Dead Moon the inner conflict and Shadow Galactica the cosmic conflict that ties everything together. Meanwhile, the Death Busters are random aliens that are only related to the real meat of the story (Saturn) by total coincidence. I've tried to look for anything to tie them to the overreaching lore and the only thing I found is that they arrived on Earth due to the distortion in the Sankakusu/Mugenzu area, which Saturn says is where Crystal Tokyo will be located in the future, so there is a faint link to the lore but it isn't explored and they still feel like a random excuse to have the Outers show up.

Black Moon and Stars are my favorite arcs. I know Stars is vague and strange but it really elevates the series and its implications for the lore are fascinating. Black Moon are very interesting villains and while the time travel is wonky it is worth it for me because I love how it explores the future of the world.

In the 90s anime, R is my favorite season. It's strange because it gives the shaft to everything I liked about Black Moon in the manga, but it makes up for it by developing other interesting things like the character dynamics and even the Hell Tree arc as the fallout for the amazing Classic finale (my favorite part of the entire series, although I feel that as a whole R is stronger than Classic).

I like the Senshi and Shitennou pairing and I never understood why people reacted to it as if it was the worst thing ever. Is it convenient and corny, sure, but this is Sailor Moon, it feels right at home with the rest of Dark Kingdom. The payoff was dumb and almost nonexistent, but in and of itself the pairing isn't bad.

This shouldn't be an unpopular opinion! He's the best guy in the series and while manga Mamoru is good, I think Yuichiro's style is cooler.

I loved the 90’s anime with all of its filler episodes when I was a kid.

As an adult, I prefer Crystal because it feels more mature and it’s more direct.

Unpopular opinions... well I have a love hate relationship with every interpretation because in each one there is something that the other one did better. But here we go

1. They stone cold killed manga Beryl. I grew up with the DiC's dub of the anime where they more often than not redeemed their foes and only ever turned souless monsters to dust. (... sorta...) When I read the manga, I was stunned when they ran manga Beryl through with a sword. She was human! (... sorta...) She had a tragic backstory! But they didn't even try to redeem her.

   • Manga Stars revealed that all the villains were working for the ultimate evil of Chaos thus tying everything together and ultimately revealing that the adventure was really only just beginning. The anime did not do that thus leaving it random villains who just waited their turn to attack.
   • By making Beryl Queen of the Negaverse, she is Evil's Queen and the Darkest Fear. A world? A galaxy? An entire universe is at stake! She is ruler of an entire hell realm and could never have been a love sick puppy who turned bad because of a broken heart. More than that, by having the villains of season 2 be connected to the "Negaverse", DiC did what the manga did, tie the villains together, tie the various stories into one single story... albeit in reverse. Indeed, Corza Moon's DiC style fandub of Stars plays that angle up in its summary for its dub of episode 200, that they face "the origin of all Nega-power in the galaxy." Had DiC kept the license and kept using the Negaverse, that would mean that with Sailor Moon's victory, in episode 200 the war against the Negaverse, a war that began "a thousand years ago," is finally won.

No offense, that isn't an unpopular opinion, that's a pretty basic observation of the series that fans and non-fans are aware of it.

I agree with this and have even said before it improves on the Makai Tree arc. Instead of two aliens who just so HAPPEN to land in the Juuban district and just so HAPPEN to have a M.O of sucking energy (like the last villain faction) and just so HAPPEN to have their own monsters they summon with cards (where did they get them?) there is now a reason instead of a series of contrivances. The Negaforce deliberately directed Alan and Anne to Juuban because that's where the Sailor Scouts were, it was likely the influence telling them the Doom Tree needs energy (that it was probably using for itself)* and the Cardians were just Negaverse monsters it provided to Alan and Anne to carry out the mission.


*And now I'm wondering if Negaforce actually infected the Tree of Life turning it into the Doom Tree and when Sailor Moon used her Moon Scepter to "cleanse" the Tree, she actually destroyed the Negaforce for good?

Ikuhara quite ruined Sailor Moon R and SuperS and didn't hold a candle to Sato.
The R movie and Sailor Moon S are the only good things he did in this franchise.

I started missing the specific balance of recurring civilian appearances Classic/Makai Tree had. When Black Moon came around, they started phasing out by the end. It seemed like SuperS had some resurgence of it the first few episodes and Ami's first love while also giving Chibiusa some friends. Then by Stars everyone's completely gone. I really like Ikuhara's era but something about the town's atmosphere felt more isolated.

If 90s Stars used the plot that was planned when it started airing it would be perfect for Optimum/Dic because Galaxia would have been the boss of Negaverse to begin with.

I like the Mio character in PGSM - she's so annoying & hateable that it feels funny to me. lol

Haha I like her too, and she was a perfect cast.

I like the gay portrayal of Zoicite but I also prefer him as a woman. That way the shitennou were not only male, plus female Zoicite didn’t wear anything sexy or femminine. It also broke that boring counterpart formula of Takeuchi a bit.

I'm not the biggest fan of those bowling ball sleeves but It looks fine with 80s Princess Allura.

1. Men being in charge of the show wasn't a bad thing. In fact, it probably saved it.
I used to believe they ruined it because I wanted a full on manga adaption with a more ethereal Naoko style.
After seeing Crystal, I realize the show would have died after one season in the 90s had they gone that route.

The balance of male and female input on the show gave it heart and lasting power. I still love the manga BUT I understand it doesn't have as broad appeal as the 90s show with its humor, focus on friendship over romance and the larger cast.

“Stars” is an underrated manga arc.

If you plan to watch ”Cosmos,” do yourself a favor and don’t read the manga or watch any promotional videos.

”Cosmos” is supposed to be as intense and “heartbreaking” as the “Stars” arc.
