Hi, I hope everyone's doing well. I recently found out that there is a fourth English version of the manga now called "The Naoko Takeuchi Collection." It boasts a "high page count," meaning possible more chapters collected into one volume? Does anyone know exactly how many acts there are in this first book? It may be a good way for me to visit the Nibleys' translation, LOL.

Thanks for your time.

I think it is the same as the Japanese edition - it should be cheaper and smaller and have the same number of volumes as the Eternal Edition. But in Japan this is the extra small edition. My advise - save up and buy Eternal edition - it is gorgeous and worth it.

Yeah, these came out in Japan back in 2018 and are the same in contents as the Eternal Editions but smaller. Can't speak on if it's the Nibley twins' translation but it probably is.

As for the actual Eternal Editions, they're too big in size for me plus Kodansha dropped the ball not using hardcovers like the French editions got.

It is the same translation, but "Moon Wand" has been changed back to "Moon Stick".

I actually prefer the larger size of the Eternal editions. The art really pops out. I would have preferred hard cover, but these are still pretty high quality for manga.
Now if we can just get the all-color finished and translated.

I can't believe they did this to us - gave us two volumes, showed us how good it feels to read your favorite manga in full color and then decided to forget all about it...

Well, here in Europe we've got the hard-cover ones... and you know what? I prefer the japanese/american thick paperback. The hardcover of this edition is thin, very thin, you've got to be very careful not to hit it if you want your volumes spotless and unmarked, the corners can be squeezed easily, and the golden lettering comes off.

Agreed. Besides, if I wanted hardcovers of those, I'd just go to a book binding store and have custom hardbacks made.

The only way I would buy a new manga set is if they do a full color set. Which I think they were and they even did some more but I don't know if the colored manga has any more issues added.
