That is all. :o
Agreed.

But in my mind, Sailor V should be a prequel series to set up the new SM series.
I disagree I think Sailor V should be made as a prequel to the original anime as it is the only major part of the story that the anime has not adapted and it could shed some light on Minako's past.

I think a 13-episode run would be perfect.

And I know we're bringing up DBZ Kai and FMA: Brotherhood as examples, but let's not forget Hellsing Ultimate. They're taking a much different tack by releasing a series of 40-60 minute OVAs that stay closer to the Hellsing manga, as opposed to creating a TV-ready series like before. Just another tactic to consider.

There's 16 Acts in the original SV story, so 13 episodes wouldn't cover the whole thing. I think 26 would be better: long enough to cover all the manga acts, with a few episodes to spare for all-new stories.

Oh, I forgot about HU! The OVAs were so freakin' awesome! Much closer to the manga too.

Same goes for Guyver: The Bioboosted Armor as well.

Point taken, since an Act is basically an episode, unlike recent anime where it takes 3 chapters to make 2 episodes.

The problem with Hellsing Ultimate is the long release schedule (1-2 episodes a year) & change in animation studios (first Satelight for 1-4, then Madhouse for 5-7, now Graphinica & Kelmadick for 8-10).

oh please no remake... there's no need for that. i'd rather see a new season, or a movie. i feel like a remake would destroy my childhood. sadly, there won't be a new season but i would love to see more of rei and yuichiro, minako becoming a star, what happens with chibiusa and helios, how they live after all that fighting, a scene of usagi's and mamoru's wedding etc.

PGSM was a remake of the series. Not an anime remake, but a remake, nonetheless. ;)

Valid point! Seems as though the amine series did leave certain things to be desired.

If done well it could be awesome. It would need to be a fresh take that focuses on the manga more while still keeping some of the spirit and fun of the original anime.
